I am a very firm believer if you are enjoying a book, read it, don't worry about your speed. :) I am a huge patron of the library. Thank you for the visit!

I would recommend "The House Across the Lake" by Riley Sager. Good twists and a tiny bit of spooky (very tiny) Susannah

I enjoyed that book, some black humour and a mystery

I like Lisa Jewell books. Do you use BorrowBox through the library? Several of hers on there 👍🏻😁

Maybe try Jo Nesbø - scandi noir type crime thriller books. Also Tess Gerritsen (her books became the Rizzoli and Isles TV show) similarly the Temperance Brennan Books by Kathy Reichs are good (Bones TV show - although there were plot changes between the books and the TV show). I really got into lots of chick lit - by the seaside/tiny village type books. I love Tess/Kathy but they were often too heavy to be reading all the time....

If you're looking for a good thriller you should try the Charlie Parker series by John Connolly . It's a fantastic series with a slight hint of the supernatural

Nine perfect strangers is a great book! It's not a light read, but it's so magnificently written. Humanity's flaws written with so much compassion. So jealous you got it for 50 p, I'm not in the UK at the moment so no Wilko's on the horizon 🌷 I bought it a couple of years ago in a charity shop, and of course brought it back without thinking once I finished it. Then I found myself suggesting it to people around me and at that point it had got popular because of the TV series and nowhere to be found. Pfff.
Also, do you too find campaign 3 so slow and uninteresting? The characters are great but nothing really ever happens.
