Thank goodness my machine has a small cover that gives access to the filter and the little rubber hose that lets you drain it out before you remove the filter. To actually have to remove the outer skin of the machine is crazy! This should be a regular maintenance thing that people do. I do this about every three months, never much in it. As information for others, there can be socks and all sorts that clog that pump - socks usually get there from overfilling the drum with clothing. If you keep losing them, put them in a laundry bag - that helps...
Just watched the video, very informative. I have changed out my pump about 1 1/2 years ago. And it worked great! I check the filter every couple of months to make sure nothing is in there. A week ago, I got an error code. Tried a few more times after removing some of the wet clothes. Same code. Today, I checked all of the hoses you demonstrated. Including, taking the drain hose out and forced air thru to see if something was there. There was nothing in any of them, even the filter. Tried the adding water to see if it works yet. It does not. So, my question is, what else can I check? Where else could something be hiding to block the water exiting? There is a sound that kind of sounds like grinding (but not really) can't really pinpoint where the sound is coming from. Can you help?
Did you ever figure it out? I'm having the same issue. I'm thinking the pump itself is fried, and I really don't want to hunt one down and replace it. I have truly despised this unit ever since I got an error code and had to go to You Tube to figure it out. I discovered that they HID the "Technician's Manual" in that absurdly difficult-to-access mechanical panel so that average folks can't do simple maintenance like filter-cleaning by themselves.

Done. After 20yrs. 3 torx to remove bottom panel.

@@pricklypear7516 on a full size washer that would indicate a worn out clutch or drive coupler if not the pump

The filter is doable but the hose bit isn’t for me that’s an engineer job, I’m not confident enough to go any further than the filter.
