Thank u for this video. I recently purchased a big box store orchid that I thought had rot. On inspection and weeks of keeping my eye on it, it didnt spread or become mushy like rot....I didnt know about this sooty mold. I will now go clean her w soap n water. Thank u again!
On mango trees, sooty mold grows on top of the leaves and hampers photosynthesizing, thus harming the plant. As you say, easy to remove but very time consuming to wipe down 100's, if not 1000's of leaves. Can you describe what the ounce of prevention is to obviate the need for the pound of cure? Thank you.

will this mold grow back again? was there a chemical to stop it from coming back?
