Hi there. Our play manual says: use your collected coatl pieces to build a new coatl AND/OR expand ONE OR MORE coatls. So we think that can work on 1 or more coatls per turn. Kind regards from Holland! 👋🏻
This game has such gorgeous table presence, it's making me want it despite thinking my group would find it a bit meh. It's cute you guys got caught up in what way the feathers were lol I can't imagine why anyone would give you guys grief... it makes me mad. Keep doing what you're doing!
wow, this looks soooo nice - bright art and super nice pieces - Thanks for demonstrating this game - did not know anything about it so far And I really love your show, stay healthy and keep up your excellent work and big thank you for entertaining us with fun content
Looks a good game, and glad you talked about the quality of the art and pieces. And am glad you posted this today, was feeling so stressed and as ever, watching you play games helps improves how I feel *so* much. Thank you so much for your videos, am so grateful.
13:30 Actually I assuming that she only did it 1 time per the card, not 2.... correct? As the card shows BLACK -GREEN, she has GREEN -BLACK -GREEN -BLACK, she counts the head in this example.... yes? Also at 14:15, would it be 2, and not 3, so basicly the card couldnt be scored at all until she had 3 black pieces, thus only scoring the one card and not the second (until she got a 3rd black piece thats not a head or tail)
Cloatl comes from Quetzalcoatl, the Feather Snake... Thank you guys for your pronunciation! However, the plural of Coatl isn't Coatls... It's Coameh! I'm new here and let me tell you that your videos are amazing, I always have my amazon cart full since I started to watch some of your videos!!! Love from Mexico!!!
I am from Mexico. In the pre-hispanic era, dragons did not exist. It might have to do with the perception of the Spanish when they invaded Mesoamerica? It is a snake with feathers for sure .
A dragon is a reptile, a snake, traditionally serpentine in nature essentially. Quetzacoatl is a feathered snake AKA 'Dragon'. We of Mesoamerica descent just don't use the word dragon. Dragon is an European word. Quetzalcoatl is a dragon for translation purposes but our nahuatl words translated to direct English mean 'Feathered serpent'. Same creature. different words for it.
@@Senyaotl I would argue that, although a “dragon myth” Quetzalcoatl is NOT the same creature. First off it is feathered, the only feathered dragon I can think of. Secondly, unlike other dragons which are multitudinous, Quetzalcoatl was singular and iirc a god. Thirdly, unlike common understanding of European dragons, he was depicted as humanoid on occasion. Yes, old European dragons were also but that fell out of favor; a good example is found on the label for Fireball whisky.
I'm hoping to get in my first play of this tomorrow, but I am concerned about how devastating it is to not finish a coatl. I know you just have to prepare for the end, but I might house rule half points for unfinished coatls. At least for the first few games until we get a sense of the pacing. Do you find it too punishing to score nothing on incomplete coatls?

Lincoln, you can only have up to 4 prophecy cards per coatl.
Thanks for pointing this out! Somehow we missed that in the rules. Thanks for the note and for watching.-Lincoln

I have heard multiple times that quetzalcoatl is considered a dragon myth. This doesn’t mean that they are actually dragons, however.

looks great!
Does unfinished Coatl should get half points? Nikki did not count last Coatl
the design/art seems very busy on screen but I am sure irl it looks far better
Maybe I missed it but is it possible to discard some card ?
A cute family game.
