Hello my friend, wow some lovely finds, thank you so much for the shout out, I am always happy to receive any records off you, by the way I have spin clean type record cleaning machine, it is very basic, I will send it to you, but you will need to buy the cleaning fluid, cheers, Dave
Very nice haul Martin. Interesting question about how many copies were pressed. Just did a quick Google and as I expected no answer. So many artists got ripped off because of those funny accounting practises. Up the revolution!! 😁😁
Hi vinyl vault, decent pick mate. I got a good pick about three weeks ago. One of them was an album called Grooving,' wit h Mr Blo, which was also a single of the same title in the late sixties I believe. I got another very interesting one by a band named Clark- Hutchinson titled," Retribution" on the Dream label from 1970. This is a great pick, I would say the copy I got is in very good condition throughout, it's an absolutely great album, Psych/Heavy rock at its best. They don't make them like this any more!
Thank you very much. I have heard of that Mr Blo album but cant remember ever finding one. Well done on your recent pick ups and good luck next time you go diggin!
That PVC sleeve design on the El Pea is a vinyl killer! It was thankfully used minimally but the label Transatlantic used it on 3 of their releases. Jan Dukes De Grey - Mice & Rats In The Loft (£200+ lp) and CMU - Open Spaces (£100+ lp) are the two biggies people want and 99% of the time damaged due to the foam strip. The foam reacted to the vinyl and leaves a permanent mark on the run in and for part of the 1st track on each side. I have both and its really annoying...a whooshing noise for minute or two depending on how much of the foam strip covered the first track. Can't be vexed at that lot for £20. Cheers Nige
Thanks for taking the time to write a compressive reply. I cant believe they used the foam strip on other albums. What a crazy time it was back then. All the best.
Proper nice haul there mate, easily worth a score..I'm interested to know what happens to the vinyl you find? And the copy of Animals you have looks to be a UK first or second issue from 1977 👍
Thanks, I mostly keep everything I find although last year I had a bit of a clear out. I tend to send any Beatles records I find to @beatledavetherecordcollector as I don't really like the Beatles. He was one of the first channels that appeared in my feed when I joined UA-cam and he seemed so genuine I just send him a few bits from time to time. I did give 600 x 45's to charity earlier this year so they could raise some funds for good causes. I will double check the Animals LP in more detail when I can find time. All the best.
If you ever pick up a spare copy of Argus, I’m after it for cheap. Can’t complain at that bag for £20. I’m guessing this was from Thursday? Unless you have had better weather than me. Bit dull up here which has put the sellers off
Check the matrix numbers on that copy of Animals, if its the A2U A2U it can go for a bit of money. If you haven't heard it check out the Patti Smith, its a classic!

Oh yes, good point. If the record companies reveal that information then all would become clear. Do we suspect a cover up and a potential scandal?
Lo mejor de soul,,,is spanish for the best of soul,,a nice cleaning and straight to a plastic sleeve,,,cheers mate,,nice haul

What does VGor VG plus stand for sorry? Does it stand for very good?
Yes, VG = Very Good and VG+ = Very Good Plus. I think a safe grade to have is Very Good Plus. The condition should be acceptable.

Can't promise but I will try and remember. I was very lucky with the weather today although it went downhill a little later.
