Still prefer to make a front & back shelf bra not sewn into side seam but sewin into armhole and neck edge only as it gives way more support and doesnt pull at sideseams
Do you know any videos that get into that version?
I would love more details. Mine is pulling at the sides

That was great! Now all I have to do is learn how to use a sewing machine 😊
You can do it!
😂😂😂😂Good luck and God bless!❤
Love the clear simple instructions. I want to try this on a couple summer T-shirts as well.
Perfect timing! I’m about to make a tank dress for my granddaughter. 💗 Thanks!
Perfect!
What a helpful tutorial. Thanks so much!
Glad it was helpful!

You're very welcome!
Thank you! I've been struggling to find tanks with bra shelves in store and online in my size. Looks like I'll have to modify or make my own.
Wow thank you!! just subscribed, cant wait to see what else i can learn !!!❤❤
Thank you for sharing this! I LOVE it! 😊❤
That is an amazing idea! Thank you.
Glad you like it!
Thanks for this, it helps. BTW is elasticate a real word? I think it is elasticize.
very helpful. thank you so much.
Is your dress from a sewing pattern? If so, which? It’s gorgeous!
Can you do this with a v-neck tee? Does it make sense to?
This works for a v-neck tank as well.
I am wanting to know, too. I have a pattern for an easy tee and would love to eliminate the need for a bra! I have old bras I may be able to sew in, too!
Since most of my tops are v-neck, I would love to know this also! 😊
thank you!!
You're welcome!
Would this method work on non-stretch fabrics as well?
The shelf bra would need to be knit, but I don't see why you couldn't add it to a woven top.
I wonder if you can add it to an existing finished top?
Great idea!
It pulls at the sides. I think they sell these at box stores. I'll have a look at the construction bc something's not working here.🤷♀️
Have you tried serging them together? Perhaps w a rolled hem?
This would be a better video for beginners like me, if you had made the white on white drawing more visible. I can’t see it well enough to be interested.
Thank you so much. I’ve never seen anyone teach this before.
