Yeah. Jeongyeon was just teasing, but I think that it’s probably something that Dahyun is still a bit sensitive about and maybe she shouldn’t tease her like that. Everyone has something that they don’t like to be teased about. Also, Korean people are more straightforward than westerners. For example, they’ll tell you if you gained or lost weight, look older, point out acne, etc. However, they don’t get offended if you do it, so you shouldn’t get offended either. They also tell you straight away that you’re pretty or compliment you if they like something. So ya. But still, I think that being sensitive is inevitable. It’s just human nature.
Devvv in the live that Jeongyeon tells the story, Jihyo scolds her, she says that Dahyun doesn’t like to talk about it. I feel bad because it’s clearly very triggering for her.

In the jeongyeon video she said dahyun wasn't allowed as a trainee to do some things because she was chubby. I think theres some truth to it because I know how strict companies are about it that must have did a number on her cause she tried hard to lose weight before sixteen.
I knew jihyo had a hard time and even the scary momo story where she thought she was going to die. Some of the other members don't talk about it and I always thought dahyun was just naturally skinny since debut I had no idea she went through so much as a trainee because of her weight. They were really young too imagine going through that at like at like fourteen or earlier because some of them trained for a long time. I wish they would talk more about their trainee days it seemed so fun despite all that.

Lucy x roses she didn’t eat anything but ice for 2 weeks or so, and she looked in the mirror and her lips were white cause she was dying from it
@@jemimad9604 I don't think she was dying from it a person can survive a long time without eating but not for drinking water but I get that her lips were all white from malnourishment and probably dehydrated
Lucy x roses you can only survive 3 weeks without eating lmaooooooo and she didn’t eat for 2 so she was extremely weak , she also exercised lots and lots, and ended up losing 7+ kg 😂

Jeongyeon doesnt seem to care whether what she says makes members sad, or she maybe not have the capacity to see th consequences of what she says. And the thing is your body is changing as a teenager. It is natural and healthy for some to put on weight at that age and then lose it when they hit their twenties.

I don't think they do that anymore after watching some of the Nizi stuff. I think nowadays the trainees go on a diet willingly just so they can be in shape for dancing. In the Nizi audition thing JYP just needs them in shape for dancing. All I know is that the kpop industry was much more brutal back then.
most certainly it is on their contracts to maintain a certain weight vs. their height, so its not like their agency was forcibly starving them... although if it happens that they are in the middle of a series of shows, and trying to hit the required weight, then that’s when those idols collapsing on-stage may happen
With a healthy diet you can eat a lot of food and not gain weight. Escpecially if u work out you can eat a lot more. Eating healthy to perform well is key and that means you shouldnt be hungry or feel bad caus u didnt eat enough. You just need 2 pick the right groceries. The body needs energy.
That's pre-debut. Almost all idols will probably get through that to have a good physique and be fit in dancing. But don't worry now as JYP cafeteria is there now, and Twice always mentions that they always do takeouts whenever they want even midnight snacks.

If anybody complain about that, Dahyun must apologize to momo for spreading her bad habit, or jihyo must apologize to jy for saying she is not pretty, or sana must apologize to jihyo for saying she looks like a mellon and there is too many example they are love teasing each other and many reasons why people like you don't have to make any assumption on their relationship, because till now they are can handle their relationship without any gasolin from your kind.

The dark side of the industry they make the weight and physical appearance part of their contract they all sign ... they would get banned from joining the training and sent home if they show up looking over weight, they weigh you or go by physical appearance...that's why they're all underweight and faint many times their anxiety depression builds because on top of starving themselves they go through these rigorous training ...Of course after the group made a name and established itself, Jeonyoung went from the skinniest member to her current weight due to mental and physical struggles.. she got a pass plus I think JYP at that point really cares about each individual girls ... I really really appreciate their efforts to entertain us but also hope and pray that they're healthy mentally and physically and know life is more than just Kpop fame and glory...But I think this group is by far the most grounded ,caring and has the best chemistry for each other ...Love you TWICE!

honestly this breaks my heart because i always knew the kpop industry was so hard and forced diets but it just is so saddening because these girls almost gave up on their dreams because of their weight. it's just so disheartening that someone's talent is measured by their number on the scale or their appearance rather than their actual ability

Do you guys not think that we as an audience are also a reason for them having such strict rules....so much so that they go into depression.... I know some of you are going to defend it by saying that oh they should know what they are getting into and be ready for it blah blah but that is just an excuse... its we who want to see them skinny like that even if that is not what their physiological bodies are like....every human body is designed differently with different genetic makeup...and expecting everyone to get skinny is wrong and its wrong for us to expect it from them.... let's all enjoy their music, not how slinky they are so that the talent agencies also realise it... I know it won't happen in a day but it is the way forward towards true mental health if you really care about the current idols and the ones coming in the future

I hate how toxic the kpop industry is when it comes to weight and stuff like that. Most trainees are always teenagers between 13 and 20 and they need all the nutrition they could get to be healthy of course their bodies are going to go through big changes and they're gonna be chubby sometimes its normal. Its cruel how they were not allowed into the cafeteria. Food is a basic human right nobody deserves to be hungry for whatever reason it is. You can tell Dahyun is kinda traumatized from it to the fact she doesn't want to talk about it and laughs it off.
