I'm in the USA and it's interesting to note the price differences between all of these helmets (Contour-X, Quantic, Astro GX) - the Contour-X costs $750 USD, whereas the Astro GX can be had for as low as $400 when it's essentially the same helmet. As far as I can tell the only differences between the Astro GX and Contour/Quantic are the material for the liners, and head shape. The liners are not as soft but appear to be a more breathable material than the overseas models. Also the head shape for Asia is more round than oval. I thought about buying an Astro GX from Webike Japan to save money but ended up buying a Quantic from Europe because it passes ECE 22.06. I doubt the shell material is any different, but I guess we won't know. When my new Quantic needs to be replaced a few years down the line I'll have to plan another trip to Japan and buy another Arai there!
