Another great video!! I did this tour at Fort Lincoln when visiting with the Little Big Horn Association, but appreciated watching this for the review and for the photos you included. Your young guide is terrific. Bravo!
Very interesting presentation/tour the only thing driving me crazy is the fact that he is wearing his equipment belt too low, it should be between the last two buttons of his tunic and he should take all the stuff out of his trouser pockets.
I can accept that Custer's two most senior officers disliked him intensely. But if Benteen's and the remainder of Reno's commands had ridden to the purported sound of the fight all we would have to show for it today would be a larger fenced in area on Last Stand Hill. The Native American's had the three things an armed force needs to win: supreme motivation, numerical superiority and better weaponry.
How is it that mrs Custer was the only woman at the fort yet I have seen a picture of the officers and some of their wife's at a house on fort Lincoln?
I am very impressed by the magnificent house, but NOT impressed by the man who lived there. I refuse to buy into any form of Custer worship. The man was a reckless, impulsive, narcissist of the worst kind. All the men under his command who were massacred at Little Big Horn died because of Custer's impulsive and grossly irresponsible decision making. His devoted wife spent the rest of her life creating the Heroic Custer Myth, trying to blame Marcus Reno for his death. She was highly influential and many people still believe it today. It's all BS. And I haven't even discussed Custer's war crimes against helpless Indian civilians at the Washita Massacre and other places. This was a man who sought glory and fame and adulation by any means. It's amazing that he could rate such a magnificent mansion as his personal home.
Great rant without historical proof seems to be the rage today. I'm from the Wolverine State and admire Custer. Custer even hired a black housekeeper whom worshipped him. Custer was a great hero in the Civil War. Just know there are many like us out here. By the way, I have Choctaw relatives in my background.
I like the enthusiasm of the interpreter and how thorough he is.
Wow!!! It’s quite impressive!!! Thank you for showing the house to the audience.

Thanks so much for the tour! It felt almost like being there!
When I last was there, 1980, all that was to be seen were the brick foundations.
So, we can't really say that's Custer's House ... hope at least most of the objects in it are original 🤔
Getting to see even if it were from a video, the inside of a reconstruction of the home its amazing of all of the pieces that they had in it.
Thank you for your efforts!
Very informative! Thanks! Luv your channel Data Meister!

Better tactics. All the Powder River battles were routes
Mrs Custer is on youtube. Too bad we did not get to hear her speak.
His bugler Venatieri is the great grandfather of the greatest kicker in NFL history, Adam.

Good catch. Perhaps in '75, but when the 7th marched out in May of '76 the Fort was filled with wives and kids.
Believe one other (wilson) won two medal of honors prior to 1875 in addition to tom

Hi ! 😂 Somehow Custer must be related to Donald Trump's ancestry ! 😂🙏🇺🇲🇬🇧✌️
The guide is very knowledgeable, but he needs to work on his public speaking skills a bit.
Return the Land to the Native American Indian!
