- D’Angelo Russell. 2018 NBA All-Star. Finished as the runner up in NBA Most Improved Player voting. Russell went from 2nd overall pick to 2nd fiddle in Kobe Bryant’s farewell tour to primary option on a young, seemingly stud filled Laker lineup, to getting shipped to Brooklyn when Magic Johnson didn’t quite see his value (he is ONLY 23 right now). Yes, he was a head case, but whatever Kenny Atkinson and his crew have managed to do with DLo in his 2 seasons with the Nets has been nothing short of remarkable. He has helped Russell remind people of the tantalizing talent he is simply by being proficient and professional both on and off the floor. His early career was tainted in Los Angeles, but here he stands, the lone NBA All-Star (shout out to Caris LaVert, who looked to be headed to the All-Star game himself before he went down with an early season injury) on a team that has made the playoffs after years wandering the desert.
Basically, DLo is one of the drippiest players in the league, and his moves are so damn smooth that I had to make a video about it. There’s a lot of debate about how his game has gotten better and more precise, but I have heard it be argued that maybe he just made more floaters this season compared to missing a bunch from seasons’ past…to that I say: this season was a great season for DLo and we’ll just have to wait and see if he can continue to perform at this new All-Star level.

I’m glad he is living up to his potential.. they were labeling him bust but now he has a chance to compete for some chips after resurrecting his career in Brooklyn..
And the crazy part is they were labeling him a bust because he wasn't an all star his first season smh.Lakers nation got impatient with a player scoring 15 ppg in his second year 😭😭. But I'm happy for Russell and his success.

As a warriors fan, I’m excited for DLo being on the team. I think he’ll fit right in. He’ll
have to adjust to the system , play offball more and commit to playing defense. I think he’ll do all of that. Klay at the three works just fine. Draymond might need to be traded though. The only reason DLo could be traded is if Embiid demands a trade from Philly, which I doubt happens lol.

He has nice play-making and nice handles, but he makes a lot of mistakes. He also iso's a lot, which sometimes disrupts the flow of the offense. Imo, he's not underrated.
Actually, he might be overrated. He’s a flashy player but he reminds me of a Jason Williams, extremely flashy and many highlights but even more lowlights, highly inconsistent, turnover machine etc.
