Nice work, thanks for sharing the vid. I'm learning about USPSA and have not shot one yet - the times you leaned over on one leg, is that a standard move?
Great shooting, Your fast as hell! ..This is my carry optics gun. I just started running mine with an SRO. Do you have any work done to it besides the optic?
@@James_Cantrell_Shooting yea I’m buying the brass parts separately cause i have no need for the magwell. I got the brass back strap and the brass mag extensions. They are 46 bucks per! I only see the brass ones in black though. I wanted red but oh well. They have aluminum ones in red but not as heavy.
It's a pretty good gun especially for the price. Best striker trigger out there when upgraded. Good ergos for weapon manipulations. Cons are you have to work a little harder to shoot it well compared to something like a shadow 2, especially at range.
@@James_Cantrell_Shooting Great shooting. Nice to see what the Rival is capable of. I am getting back into shooting / IDPA after 3 years. Picked up a Rival. Plan on initially keeping it stock except maybe recoil rod / spring. I use Blazer Brass 124, which has power factor of 135. Would the stock recoil spring work fine or should I reduce it?
@@brianr14190 the stock spring will function and operate fine, and later you can decide if you want to reduce it or not depending on what kind of recoil impulse you prefer
Pretty much the same configuration in both games, the only difference is in idpa I can run it with a magwell installed. Takes about 10 seconds to take it on or off.
I just started uspsa carry optics a year ago. I'm just a C Class but love learning and watching others skill. Subscribed

Thanks! Yeah I've upgraded it myself with off the shelf parts
@@James_Cantrell_Shooting nice! What upgrades did you do? I’m thinking about doing the Taylor freelance brass weight kit. I’d like it to be heavier.
@@PracticalPostMan_FLA definitely do that, and also get a freedomsmith trigger

@@James_Cantrell_Shooting what does that trigger do better then the stock shoe?
Nice! Is It allowed on the production optics light division?
I'm not sure, uspsa has slightly different rules than ipsc
So now that you have shot the Rival in a few sanctioned matches. What are ur thoughts about it? Strength’s/weaknesses?

@@James_Cantrell_Shooting What upgrades or modifications have you put into that Rival? Backstrap weights and springs?
@@bcmm7944 freedomsmith trigger, springco springs, uncaptured guide rod and recoil spring, taylor freelance backstrap and basepads
