  • Hailey is a Sepsis Survivor. Hailey shares the signs and symptoms of sepsis that she experienced and the lingering effects.
    Read Hailey's story here: www.sepsis.org/faces/hailey-b/.
Faces of Sepsis™ stories allow those affected by sepsis to share their experiences of illness, treatment, recovery, and loss. The collected stories aim to capture the diversity of people who had sepsis-some describe a quick recovery while others cover the long-term effects of post-sepsis syndrome (PSS). Each experience is different, but all Faces of Sepsis stories play a vital role. They help those who have been impacted by sepsis learn that they are not alone.
Sepsis Alliance Connect is a virtual support community designed for the millions of people affected by sepsis. Visit SepsisConnect.org to learn more or to sign up.

So glad you are doing well now. Sorry you had to endure this but also thankful you didn't loose any limbs like a lot of people do. Hope you have a healthy happy life from here on out!

I am so glad for you, Hailey. Each account I hear from Sepsis patients is almost the same, misdiagnosis, fever, flu-like symptoms but also so much worse!
How scary your experience must have been. Again, you are fortunate to have supportive family who helped assist you getting the medical attention you needed.
    Wow. Eye-opening.
    Thank you for sharing.

God bless you. You are really lucky that you overcome from this deadly disease but my mom was not that lucky I lost her from sepsis five months ago

When you mentioned you’re from Toronto & you waited 6 hours in the waiting room I wasn’t surprised. 2 weeks ago I developed Sepsis for the second time in 2 years. I went to the Montreal General, knowing I had Sepsis & they kept me in the waiting room for 7 hours. I’m glad you survived & you have recovered.
