Thank you so much; this is really helpful. I've looked around to look for a way to model my newly designed robot in AutoCAD. I exported to Autodesk Inventor, but still couldn't take it to MATLAB. Thank you for making this Step-by-Step approach, i followed it, and it worked! Now I can move on to development of the functions.
    Thanks once again.

@@mohamedel-saieed1055 Thank you very much, I got it.
I have one more doubt, Can I export matlab figure to cad software??
Or can I save matlab figure to .xyz or .stl file.
If it is possible then please let me know

Glad to hear that it works with you.
I didn't need to export a 3D file from matlab before as they are so simple to be used at anything, however you will most probably find all the .stl files in the website of Mathworks.
let me know if yo need any further help.

why my add-in inventor does not show simmechanics link?

  • @billf1nger

Perhaps you know where I went wrong. Matlab writes to me
    "Error using smimport_implementation
The file specified in the xmlFile argument is not a valid Simscape Multibody Import XML file. Model import failed."
Also, everything works fine for me with the assembly from the Matlab example. And specifically, in this assembly, I only have 2 cylinders on top of each other, so I don't think that the error could be there

Anybody knows why when I want to see the simulation in SimMechanics it doesn't run? I already did the simulation on Inventor and it worked there, but in matlab does nothing and if I want to see it from another perspective or adjust the view the object just disappears

I didn't face such an error before, but make sure that the files and extensions are all OK. or maybe the Matlab is not installed correctly. Did you tried to import another CAD file ?
