Thses song bring back memories of my Childhood!! These song writers wrote the Truth about love and life back in the day the world was a better place and not so political!!!!God Bless these Great Singer's!!!!!
The songs, the singers, the actions and the clothing was so much more decent back then. We have some great singers today. But the square dancing back then was so fabulous. Sure miss those old shows 🥰💙🙏oxoxox oxoxox oxoxox AND CLEAN FUNNY JOKES!!!
Real deal, pure country. And oh , so good looking
Thank goodness that they made program like this that we can enjoy today.❤
I started listening to the Grand Ole Opry on a radio in1954. on Saturdy nights
I miss Grandpa Jones and Minnie Pearl and many of the superstars of that time. It sure has changed alot.
Got mine in the 1960's and Big John Trimble on WRVA in the 70's😁

Omg , I heard that Carl Smith song on an album my parents had when I was in third grade. My gosh I haven’t heard it in 50 years. Thank you thank you thank you for this wonderful video!!!!😁😁😁😁😁😁⭐️♥️

That was when there was country music that was some good singing
Remember when country music was country? Great stuff.
What's not to love, these singers trying to make a start in life with music we all enjoy.Without them we would have far fewer country songs.
Ms Hill is a beautiful lady

Fred Durbin
Sylvania, Ohio
How young are you Fred? If you don't mind me asking?
Dayton Ohio
This music is from the time it used to be called "Hillbilly Music". I love it and always have. My Mom was a farm girl and she used to listen to a Hillbilly Show every Saturday morning. We both thought it was great.
THANKS so much for these great posts
Fantastic entertainment! Country class and extreme talent
It don't get better than this!
These are great
1953-4-5 while stationed at Ft Campbell KY, I spent a lot of Saturday nights setting in the old Ryman watching theses stars do the shows.
Kudos to you as you got to hear the Ryman when there was tube amplifiers and western electric "Birdcage" microphones in there😂--WOW!!

It's sad that Slim whitman never appeared to get the credit he deserved
Love Marty robbins
This modern stuff they call country will never real County what this is.
Grow I listened to the Grand Ole Opery with my family. First the big battery to Opary and the Friday. Nite Frolic.
I wonder why the original title, "The Country Show", isn't used here. The color is magnificent. I'm sure there was a good deal of necessary restoration.
The "Good ol Hickory Boys"! None better.
GenSixFour, Thank you, Thank You, I’m looking forward to each episode.. I’ve seen these on another channel but it’s been awhile. I never tire of them.
Love this man
Love all
Похоже, здесь я один , русскоязычный , очарованный музыкой кантри .Такую музыку готов слушать всегда , особенно 50-х годов. Наверно, я в душе ковбой с берегов Волги. Хорошо , что есть такая музыка!!!
Billy Byrd is my all time favorite guitar pickers
Some singers I like from '"back then" are James O'gwynn, Margie Bowes, Dottie West and Wilma Lee & Stoney Cooper.
Thank you very much!
The harmony of the Wilburn Brothers is so soothing and I could listen all day. The forgotten ones.
Did I hear one of em do the Bob Wills AAAAHHH-HHHAAAAAA?
real country
not what we see today
This is awesome ! TY
Spider Wilson and Buddy Emmons doesn’t get any better
36:03 these colours just look awesome.
Thank goodness for those who had the foresight to shoot these programs on FILM.
que du bonheur merci pour ces bons moments (de France).
The blond young lady you have on the pic for this channel looks like Mary Chapin Carpenter.
Golden
Thank you very much!
Awesome
Anita WAS the voice of the Carter Family.
Maybe, but I Strongly prefer June. To me, she just had the sweeter, nicer personality. Anita seems so "Look at me, I'm wonderful!" Anita was openly Maybelle's favorite. Poor June knew it too,and she seemed always to be trying harder!
@@debrahubbard763 I disagree, I feel the whole family was stifling to Anita’s stardom. She was very humble, shy and demure to me imo. The youngest just wanting to be a part of and get along. Not perfect ofc but that voice was and a gift from above.
@red bae: with all respect, I stick to what I believe.
@@debrahubbard763 And poor Helen too . She looks sick . Watch her in the background as Marty sings his song at 55:29
These are really cool shows.
Jody growed up poor and bean slender. A jolly songstress, she could never shake the snug girdle look.
Like Marty Robbins
That gal in red took a shine to moon mulligan
Yes
There's a lot of Moon Mullican in Jerry Lee Lewis.
and a lot of blues in Mullican...borrowed from, you guessed it!
@@embwee In my humble opinion Mullican didn't "borrow" anything from anyone.
Jerry Lee DID.
does anyone know if this is when June was married to Carl
It was!
You put the two together and you get a Carlene, lol.
Do you still have vol. 1-6..?
Every time the slide guitar player plays they show the rhythm guitar player???
1:00:20 Tennessee mambo
Just hilarious
is that floyd kramer on the guitar?
It is!
@@AlexisGannaway Samantha I guess you'd be Al Ganaways Duaghter?
She ran after Carl Smith,Finley got him.
👍👍
JOHNNY SEA 👍
Bob Corley was pretty good! That joke about the baroness was fairly racy for the time.
