The flavor for nemsy is so sick. She's DRAWing up the character then swapping places with it, aka roleplaying the demon
The sargeras issue can be mitigated by running inside an ETC. You wont have to pull it from the other effects. The other good thing is it specifies demons so you can run non demon cards for the early game also. So your dreadlords, doomguards, wretched queens can be picked up by those effects.
Wheel of death can be support for fanottem and symphony of sins.
Warlock gets either completely bonkers stuff or cards people will open and never look at again. This expansion is the latter

I mean. Table Flip looks like a pretty decent handlock card. Kinda sad that's the only handlock card in this set though. I was super hyped when I saw the giants in the core set until I saw this set

Yeah, another expansion with interesting cards that will never get played for warlock. Control warlock is never returning and we are stuck with boring zoolock curvestone decks.
A weird buff to the queen would be to simply remove the demon tag from the knights so they can't be resurrected in her place

While some of these are certainly underwhelming, I do like the more unique effects that Warlock often gets. Each of these cards is quite interesting on its own and I'm looking forward to seeing how they will be implemented when this set releases.
The 4 mana excavate taunt is a demon. That's turn 4 play the minion turn 5 revive it and make 2 copies of it
So why was malganus and void walker added last core set, and practically little to no big demons were printed, and as soon as they rotated new big demons were added

@@muditjain4024 Oh yeah, the one copy of Skull was so reliable people didn't feel the need to run two copies of Possessed Lackey in their Cubelock lists.
Cheating demons was good because it was consistent. Nemsy needed to be released with cards that had redundant effects for people to be able to Voltron them into a decent deck. But she will fall flat on her face, just as Arch-witch Willow did.

the fact that the "rez a demon" spell is a shadow spell gives me hope for the Tamsin meme combos in wild. Summon a doomguard, kill it off, get a bunch of Tamsins to give you a free copy of Endgame, kill them off, then play all of the endgames to smash your opponents with poultry. Good? no. Hilarious? yes.
I'm curious to see how well Tabletop Roleplayer performs in a Zoo-like package. You compare it to Dark Iron Dwarf and Abusive Sargeant, but I think you're massively underselling the Immune factor. Remember how relevant it is to value-trade minions in the early game, and then realize that you can trade upwards and keep the original minion at the same time with this buff, and get a relevant 4/3 as well. And you get a second instance of the battlecry with Miniaturize? I think there's potential there.
...Nemsy is kinda boring.
I think its better than people think. You basically keep getting nemsy back over and over and cheat out demons.
@@barcster2003 As long as you draw it on time and with multiple big demons left. Both are big potential problems. If there is a way to tutor it by turn 5 or 6, then I agree
@@joshuamangnall i do agree the issue is you'd want to have more large demons than what will be when this comes in but I think you'd be pretty happy to hit a doomguard, dreadlord or queen.

Nemsy has unfortunate wording: she only pulls the demon you drew with her, so triggering her deathrattle more than once on board does nothing.
Would swap work with dead minions. I would assume not, since there is no graveyard in hearthstone.
I feel like End Game and Crane Game should have their card name and artwork swapped - fits the effect and card cost way better

Man, I love the flavor of the warlock set, but I'm not really vibing a lot with the cards themselves.
I said it when titans previewed and I’ll say it again sargeras should’ve had colossal so he always has portal, he’s the only titan who can’t be cheated out effectively even if you cheat some of the other battlecry titans like aggramar their abilities still work with other cards in the class like hunters other weapon cards meanwhile warlock gets told to get stuffed
Nemsy not having taunt rly puts the card in a weird spot killing ur own 3/6 just never feels good u either need multiple turns or suicide it into a big enemy
If they made Endgame 3 mana and allowed it to resurrect the last two Demons, I feel like it could be a bit better in pulling Wretched Queen
nemsy feels like a skull of minari but delayed and having some board presence which is just making me realise how fucking insane skull of minari is as a card
All these cards just make me sad that skull of the manari/bloodreaver guldan or even just void caller isn’t in core.
Is it me, or does it seem really odd thematically that table flip doesn't hit your minions as well? Aren't they also on the table?
I think they mean it in the sense of turning the tables on your opponent. However, the name is still kind of odd because that would imply building a board in addition to removing your opponent's. This card only does the latter.

Nemsy feels very slow when we have decks that can kill you turn 5-6. If atleast she had taunt.

I'll give the Malefic Rook this much: in a theoretical Big Dumb Pile Of Stats Warlock deck that uses the whole chess package, it's an early game play that isn't *that* bad to draw off of Nemsey.
(I don't think it's going to be top tier, it's still just a big dumb pile of stats in modern Hearthstone, but I can see the logic for fitting them together this way.)
I'm personally kind of glad the warlock cards are sort of underwhelming, considering they probably won't see any play next to sludge, which is losing very little.It'd be a shame to see really good design wasted on a deck that won't be better than what that class already does right now.

Not sure how good the Warlock cards will be in standard but I can't wait to run them in my wild bid demon deck

Rook on 3 horror on 4 nemsy on 5 dirge of despair on 6.
I mean Pit Lord is like 10 years old so it's fine
I'm trying to imagine a world where you can get 2 portal up and 2 Sargeras trigger of +2 health + taunt imps. That is 4 3/7 taunt every turn. Board based game plans just kinda cry at that point.

Wretched Queen seems very strong and annoying to deal with if you can cheat it out!
I mean it's good but it's not that crazy. Only a 3 damage aoe. You need 6 cards or more in hand for it to be cost efficient as well. Which if you're playing control you'll usually meet that condition but still. Certainly an auto include for control decks will be good. Not like insane though. It's not out here breaking the game.

Nemsy swaps places with *it* meaning the demon you just drew. The text would specify if Nemsy would swap with a random demon

Change Endgame to "discover and ressurrect a demon that died this game" and it may be awesome
I think its still pretty good. Your last thing that died would likely be a doomguard, dreadlord or the new queen. Worst that would likely happen is a knight or the 5/5 dreadlord.
The thing is if there are more demons it will be more exciting.
That would be broken, now you can resurrect crazy demons which often will be big. More efficient than even eternal servitude for priest
@@kripperinoobviousino6019 obviously accompanied by a cost nerf, but I don't think it would be that much, when you need to survive to turn 10 in current hearthstone.
@@barcster2003 about doomguard, sure, maybe in a combo like deck, else, I don't see how any aggro warlock deck will want to have a dead card on hand that can get discarded by playing DoomGuard itself, and not include many demons as to "guarantee" that the doomguard will be the ressurrection when the card pops up. Like regis said, the queen is a good card, but at turn 9 most control decks can just ignore a 4/4 till the can deal with the 4/6 after, or they just kill both in the same turn, or poof with Reno. Getting a 5/5 dreadlord minion beatstick is not really something I'm too happy to get at turn 8/9, I'm probably either dead to agro, or control just deal with that pretty easily. This said, let's wait and see, new good demons can be added to the pool in future expansions as well (which I think will be the target, instead of current demons)

Nemsy is better than people think. She could cheat out multiple minions and keeps adding herself to your hand. Considering the demon tag you aren't exactly going to be sad to hit doomguard, dreadlord or wretched queen.
The real issue is you'd like more large demons to summon.

8 Mana Wretched Queen vs. 5 Mana Harkener of Dread lol
Harkener is an individually busted card, but Shaman just doesn't have support for an archetype to build around it right now.
@@synchronium24 Still don't think that justifies making objectively busted cards. There's a standard of balance for all cards that equivocate the card's value to mana cost, and Harkener is a fucking 5 mana 12/11 with 4 Taunt bodies.
I also would say that Jazz Bazz and From De Other side is better support than what Warlock has.
If Sunken City wasn't about to rotate, I think it'd really be cool to change Sargeras into having Colossal +1, with the appendage being the portal, rather than battlecry, so it would work better being pulled out of the deck.

These cards aren't bad at all, Nemsy can create some toxic decks in wild. The 10 mana spell is great in handlock and endgame has nice big demon utility
Weirdness and chunkiness - warlock in a nutshell every expansion unless its some boring zoo face damage curve stone shit. The HS team are some of the worst designers in card games ever. Only yugioh design is worse and not by a lot. With most of these cards it seems like the designers made them intentionally unsynergetic with each other which begs the questions, WHY? If you do not want big Demons to be a thing, which clearly they don't (even more evidence is the fact that they rotated void walker out of core set) why not just give warlock somethin else? If they did not do this intentionally than it might be worse because it means that the HS design team are just stupid and need to be fired because they have no idea how to design a coherent archetype. Honestly, I do not know which is worse.
seeing these, I'm more excited with handlock coming back to standard even though there's like 2 cards in this package that synergizes well with it
