Great video MAP performance but there's also A couple of things that Evo x Need or basically any Turbo car is gages AFR, boost, Water temperature, oil temperature Do too you can't rely on just lightsCompared to a gauge. 2nd Thing you need for the Evo X Are heat Shields these cars get incredibly hot Especially by the Turbo manifold they can melt hoses Is plastic covers you name it so definitely heat Shields R and order, And since we're talking about heat, Upgrad your radiator and oil cooler Like a Bolton mishimoto Dual oil cooler, As well as some good radiator hoses, And last but not least an oil catch can To keep your car running clean,And definitely a relocation AYC kit To prevent the AYC pump from getting rusted corroded it or get all kind of junk from the debris from the debris from the road Open it safe in the trunk What about having to take too much space from your trunk. Oh and for the racers out there definitely don't miss out on the bigger oil Pan that MAP offers This will definitely help in the canyons or the track This part will definitely help out when the oil is just sloshing back-and-forth in the oil Pan starving the motor of possibly oil with this bigger oil Pan your oil Pan it prevents the oil from sloshing back-and-forth.
My clutch master cylinder went out and had to tow it a few hours back to my house it was more expensive than the upgrade. Mitsu went with sprinkler grade plastic for a very important part. 10/10 would recommend! I've been there done that have the tee-shirt 😅
Get the ams master cylinder and an act monoloc in your throw out bearing . the OEM one is extremely weak. 1 gear bang and you can snatch your tob out of the pressure leaving you stranded. Just had that happen in the exact way. 1 quick 2-3 shift snatched the tob out of the pp. And to fix it is about 400 for an OEM clutch to $800 for a upgraded clutch. And if your not doing the labor yourself its about $1,000 in labor.
Thanks MAperformance For all the great tips I didn't know you guys had AYC relocation kit definitely gonna look into that Now that tax money is available As well as that relay I thought you could only get that Is through the dealer As well as the lowering Bushings I believe they're made by white line anyway great video Can't wait To see what else you Have for the Evo X platform.
It’s the clearcoat on the calipers. Mine has the same issue, it needs to be repainted/powder coated. Or just new clearcoat. As long as there’s no rust on the disc itself it’s all good. Rust on the wheel hub is common and inevitable- I have it. You can get it blasted with dry ice or electrolysis/scrubbed off but it’s a lot of work for something that will come back and isn’t much of an issue.
My 2011 Evo GSR is all the sudden not shifting into 1st,2nd or reverse. I replaced the shifter bushings with torque solutions parts about a month or 2 ago. Any ideas??
Did u reinstall the cotter pin to keep the cables connected to the transmission? Also did u the gate selector bushing, the underhood cable bushings or both?
Any super common parts that we missed? Let us know and thank you for watching 🙏
Ya'll missed a turbo upgrade ; )
SST gearbox for people with the MR

Snatching the tob out of the pressure plate. Get the ams monoloc or hydraulic tob ASAP.

Happy to help!
Hi, I don’t find the AYC relocation kit on Map website, can you give me the link?
Very informative as always. I need bushings on my X.
We can help you get some!
Dope video, love the series on the evo X. Very helpful for my X
How about the transmission???
Why do evos never get options for AOS but many Catch Cans. Also any T-Case maintenance issues?
Honestly, if you have ever emptied a catch can you can see why an AOS is suboptimal
Hello, any compatible brand of front shock absorbers for the evolution x 2011. Thanks from Costa Rica
I'd replace the Valve Cover Gasket. Mine failed at 110K.
oh there is one thing you missed which somehow happened to me, OEM plastic radiator filler neck.
will the map clutch master cylinder fit my 09 lancer gts
Awesome video. Thanks, there aren't many EVO Xs in my area so I don't have people to ask.
Thank you! Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions!
Can't buy a manifold and ship to California 😭😭😭. How we suppose to fix it now
Have people around other places then send it to them, and then they will send it to you. It is just more sipping..
Can you guys ship the cast manifold to India ?
Yes! Just send us an email at sales@maperformance.com!
Where can I get the same front bumper of the evo thats on the back when minute 7:00 starts
It’s a Varis bumper, there’s different versions of it. But it’s pretty expensive
I just bought an evo and the brembos look like they are peeling from rust just like on these video how do I fix those

Same things for an evo 9/8?
Evo 8: do timing belt, have a spare Transfer case, and AC button rear cable causes button to not turn. Other than that it's solid.
