Great videos man. I attempting tomorrow morning. Have all your recommended tools and accessories. Including the plugs you suggested. I also bought the Speaker harness that the other channel recommend but it was smaller than my receiver plug on my 2020 f250. So I'm using your JR Ready connectors and I bought the crimper tool. Heat shrinking as well with the cable cover as well. Thanks for all your work and for educating the F Series community. Really appreciate it. 👍
@DIY RAY unfortunately the sticky tape on the 3m was coming off and the silicone was hard in the package. Text them and they are sending new set. I did install and used Gorilla glue gel super glue. It seems to have stayed on since Saturday. The OEM speaker wires fit perfectly. Think I'll reinstall the new light strips they are sending though. Thanks.
The video is great. Your instruction is fantastic, but I'm not spending $ on a product that has adhesive, which is so poor that additional adhesive is required. That fact along puts the entire product set and sellers in a low quality category for me, but you did a great job for instruction.
I understand your concern but if you use a good quality adhesive you won’t have a problem. Thanks for your comments and please remember to like and subscribe to the channel.
You ever thought about putting auto running boards? I have the same vehicle(Minus the tremor) and been on the market for them. Would love a good installation video before I pull the trigger on them!!! You’re videos are great, looking forward to more mods I can follow!!
Thanks for the feedback and please remember to subscribe and like the video. To answer the question, yes I know it will power the lights. I got the idea of other Ford UA-camr ‘Colt way’.
Excellent video and ton of great information it in. With them connected to that plug do they only turn on when opening the doors? Or are they on all the time when the lights are on?
Help. Trying to purchase the Deutch crimper tool (iCrimp Closed Barrel Crimper 4 Way Indent,8 Impression Type for Deutsch Solid Contacts gage 12 (IWD-12)) You have two listed in your parts. I also am buying these connectors (JRready DTP Connector Kit ST6138 2 Pin Gray Waterproof Electrical Wire Connector with Size 12 Solid Contact 14-12 AWG Current Rating 25 Amps,2 Sets) connectors? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks for the questions, here the link for the parts used kit.co/Diy10-85Ray/f150leds-accessory-installation-kit . There’s two different size crimper. It’s base on the size of the wire that you are working with. I picked up both sized deutch crimper.
@@DIYRAY yes I know it depends on the size but you have two different crimpers and I just want to know which crimper goes with the 2 pin. I'm doing the same job but all I need is the 2 pin it's kind of confusing when you read the description if your not use to doing electrical. I bought the first crimper that you listed to go with the 2 pin set to do this project.
@@DIYRAY thank you. Great video. I'm going to try and see if the speaker connector works first. Then move on to these that you recommended. Great videos thank you so much
Forget about the fancy lights. How's the transmission doing??? Just had my CDF hub replaced with the redesigned version that has a lip machined in it to prevent slipping.
@DIYRAY Ohh. My bad if you shared that as it wasn't title specific. I tend to not watch ALL the video and assume you might mention something other than what the video title pertains to. Actually, I was guiding you towards the CDF DRUM tsb if you haven't addressed it as of yet...GL
Thanks for the feedback and question. The connection is OEM on my truck. It came from the factory already pre wire. Please remember to subscribe and like the video. FYI you can tap into wire in the cab also.
I’m thinking since they’re actually mounted to the body, it wouldn’t matter about my running boards? Also, could you make them to be on when the lights are on? Lastly, do all 250’s have that connector underneath?

Thanks for the comments. I like my factory boards. Can my doors protect from the soccer moms and dads in parking lots and other places.
Dang, that's a tight looking truck. F150 owner here too...sub'd fo sho!
Thanks for the feedback.
Great video. So how did you know that the plug under truck was powered by doors? The one you changed out to power lights?

Great job

Sorry forgot to ask above. Does this tool go with these connectors?😊

Yes, the connector works with the crimper.

Great vid, lot's of detail but where did you get the power from? My Tremor doesn't have that connector there.

same, i have a 2022 plati tremor and i don’t have that power connector
My truck is a 2020 Ford Superduty XLT tremor. They stopped making the XLT model tremor.
I can not find that connector underneath the truck it’s a 2023 f350 xlt
They could have removed it for your model year. I own the 2020 model.
Do they only turn on when opening the door(s)? I have a Platinum with auto folding running boards, so I guess this wouldn’t work?
Yes, only when I start the car and when I open the door.

@@frklein1 I don’t know about the connection on other F250 and you can wire it any way you too. Wire it to the parking lights.
Looks sweet. But, are they legal?
Be guided by your own VTL rules and regulations in your area.
