It's a 2 video week! Let's go 😎Punta Cana is so much fun!🤙🤗Don't forget, you can watch our full Dominican Republic Playlist here 👉 ua-cam.com/play/PLne6uCHwRa6QT6P5a-tKg2FMc7U2I2sM1.html Stay Delightful! ✌- Anna & Trevor
Couldn’t have been more perfect timing - seeing this video on the first real cold day in Toronto, Ontario feeling like minus 18 degrees Celsius with wind gusts up to 70 km/hour 🥶. Practically drooling over the mango ‘shakes’ and rustic pizza. DR on a budget - I love it! 😊
That pizza looked delicious and what a great price for accommodations! I’m not one for beaches but I’ll certainly mention this video to my friends! Thanks Trevor & Anna!
Hehe depends on the setting and pizza. Thin crust is tricky to pick up (with lots of toppings) and there’s no way we’re folding wood fired oven pizza 😂- Anna
Another great bonus video. Can’t wait to see where you stay in La Romana. We are learning some lessons in LT. The prices for dining out at dinner along the beach in Punta Popy is about $100 Canadian without desert and only one drink. 😮 learning how to do it cheaper. Cabs are also very expensive and no bus system around the town but rented a scooter and have done some walking. Having fun and soaking up the sun. Thanks for all your pro tips.
Thank you for this video. It is very helpful to know, as you are showing, the walkability in these areas from like the AirBnb’s to beaches, grocery stores, ATM, restaurants, and to transportation and transportation examples n how they work. I spent hours on Airbnb n the majority of places do not include this information n its very frustrating. So thanks again for including this type of info. We like yo visit longer than 2 weeks, we are snow birds, and we walk to places a lot. We don’t rent cars for these long trips.
For a moment I thought it was me eating that 4 cheese pizza, jajaja. I'm going back to DR in February. Will visit Cabarete, Puerto Plata, Punta Cana and Samaná.
Wow! What a bargain! Love the apartment and Anna’s pizza looked delicious…you’d pay easy $20 in US. Can’t beat a pint of German beer for $1.80! Not to mention only $10 for loungers on that stunning beach. Great video guys! ~Cara ❤
We stayed there when we arrived early November and had the worse room ever. The night staff there really didn't give a hoot about us either. Your room looks much nicer. That nexucan restaurant foes the yummiest beeg soft tacos ❤
Yes those pizzas are huge. I couldn’t eat all of it myself. A few days ago I bought a giant slice pizza (1slice) for lunch here in Texas for a little over $5.00. I am so happy you guys are back in the DR👍👍👍
🙂💗👍Thank You Trevor And Anna Just Getting Around to Watching Your Video We had a Bad Wind, Rain and Thunder and Lighting Storm here in NB it knocked out the Power for a Full Day and a half had no Internet or Cell Phone Power.🙂The Only Good Thing is The Snow is all Gone Now lol.🙂And getting to Watch Your Video while The Apartment is Warming Up!!!!👍Wishing You Safe Travels from The East Coast of Canada🙂💙👍Burrrrrrrrrr👍
Awesome video! As someone that lives in Punta Cana, technically you're in Bavaro right now not Punta Cana. Go to Punta Cana Village :) there's also really pretty beaches, there's also little "lakes" And Hoyo Azul y Cap Cana which are insanely beautiful. Also really nice restaurants in both of those areas (village and Cap Cana). Those are right by the airport, you actually passed them when leaving the airport.
Thank you for staying at el dorado in Punta Cana. We catch every week. I offered my property a year ago. The problem is not with the hydro (electricity for non-Canadians) it is the water. I seem to get a comment every two months or so. Mine is only $50.00 USD a day. .
Already tried multiple times renting airbnb instead of resort in Punta Cana. An airbnb will come out the same or double than a resort. In Punta Cana, they have the highest electricity bill. A high % of rental properties charge electricity bill separately. That comes out to more than 10 dollars a day. Also, the grocery stores in area charge the same as if you were in New York City. For the real cheap experience, thats places outside tourist areas. The best bargain you will get is in a all inclusive resort at a good price. Renting airbnb's isn't worth it, that 60 a night comes out to over 100+ a night with separate expenses. Rentals are good though, when high season comes into play. Where resorts go over 200+ a night. Good video though
It all comes down to the place honestly. We've never paid $10 per day in PC for electricity so not sure what happened there. Sometimes resorts can be more affordable like you said though 👍 - Trevor
I like Dominican more than my girlfriend does. Our biggest complaints are the harassing vendors on the resort beaches. They are ruthless. They constantly hounded us in all of our 3 visits. They’ll even almost wake you up to ask you to buy. When we got home from Cabarete last year, I got violently ill for a week. We don’t know if it was from food or bug bites. I had to go to the hospital twice for IV’s and could not even put ice in my mouth. Other than those 2 issues, I like the country. Good food, decent people, decent prices, nice beaches & resorts.
That pizza looks amazing and pretty inexpensive relative to Canadian standards. Just checked prices from one of our favourites - a food truck wood fired pizza for the same size…both those pizzas would run $16 to $17 each before tax and tip. Is tipping common practice in the DR?
It’s basically triple (almost) in Canada. Tipping is included on every bill here in the DR. 10% is added by default and most times it’s ‘baked into’ the price. Sometimes it’s added on at the end 👍 - Trevor
That sounds really like a tourist trap $3.50 u.s. those barill are like $2.50 in canada. Im sure dominicans dont shop there if i remember itz a develping country
@@DelightfulTravellers Really!? I thought europeans knew better. As you know in Canada, at least in Quebec, opening the window at night without a screen with a light on is a guarantee you'll get many flying intruders in no time, often times they're already around the patio door hoping you'll open it... No screen means you are basically inviting them. There's no way to conduct online work at home if you have to be fighting wasps flying in and what not on the daily.

It really does looked delicious. For a moment I even thought it was me eating it there, lol.
Great video as usual guys. Thanks God we did not have to wait until Sunday morning, lol.
We'll be back on Sunday as well 🤗 - Anna
The quality of your videos is awesome guys! Wow the pool at the beginning in that complex was amazing and that mango shake looked so good.
Thank you Ange! The shake was better than the pool honestly 🤣So good! - Trevor

Please, go to Cabarete and make a video about Callejón de la Loma it has so much to offer.

Great info. We have never been to Punta Cana. We live in Santiago and have a house in Sosua. November and December are rainy season.

The float there look like the float in New Jersey USA 🇺🇲
Looking for the best flan on the north coast...or maybe it's better in Punta Cana(??) Any suggestions? Thanks for another amazing video!

Did you guy rent a car Or do rideshare. Im too nervous to eat off site due to the water scare...
We have videos all over the country here in the DR. Watch a few of those and that will change your mind. We also live here - Trevor
Hi 👋
I would like to know-
Are there places to rent kayaks, catamarans??
Weather sounds like FL in the summer. Rains every day, hard, but usually only for an hour or two in the late afternoon/evening.
Sounds similar for sure! - Anna

The reason that the juice was making bubbles was because it was freshly made.
