Thanks to coach Chad and the TrainerRoad team. These are great, and reinforce some things I have started out of necessity and clearly need to do more of.
Unsure why my algorithm is recommending these now, but I'm here for it. Also, awfully brave to throw the platform next to the windows; Murphy's Law comes to mind.
This is likely a conversation you should have with your doctor since we do not have much if any experience with situations like this. Sorry we couldn't be more help here.
More Information on how to actually perform the shown stretches and what to look out for would have been nice. It feels a bit superficial/ unfinished, more like a promotion for TR
+Thilo Fischer: Thanks for your feedback! We'll be sure to keep that in mind in our next video. :) In case you weren't able to find the expanded discussion on our blog, here's a link: bit.ly/5-Stretches-for-Cyclists Happy Training!
Stretching is recommended to be a part of your regular routine as an athlete. While some studies have shown that stretching directly before exercise decreases performance, those studies have been disputed over the years. We recommend incorporating stretching after your rides and separate from riding on recovery days as well. If you feel stretching beforehand is beneficial, you are welcome to do so.
True. Good sales pitch on why we should do these, but poor explanation for beginners who have never done these stretches before. I have no idea how to do these safely.
1:10 Neck flexion
1:21 Thoracic extension
2:02 Lumbar mobility repeats
2:42 Bilaterial internal rotation stretch
3:32 Couch stretch
This is the best stretching video I have ever watched. It's not just for cycling, also for anyone hunched over at a desk. Big up.
The last statement the more you do these the more you will recognize the benefit, is Golden. Thanks for the reminder :-)

This is awesome! There are so many stretches and it's easy to get overwhelmed with what to do!

The link in the video description has details of the stretches on the TR website.

Can we stretch before a bike ride?

What kind of sneakers the guy has in his foot?
Only for roadies ;-)
very informative, but without proper guidance, and doing it wrong, it seems they can do a lot of harm .. tricky :-/
