A slower sudowoodo with sweat particles when it runs is shiny (im fairly sure they do this so you dont miss the shiny)
I do really appreciate all the different Pokemon reactions. Ran into a Dunsparce for the first time and it got scared and quickly burrowed into the ground backwards

Yeah Sword and Shield is prototype how pokemon to be open world. Even the city wasnt felt big still. But in SV it does, big enough, and very detail, has corner and alley kinda things. Then come PLA that is 2nd stage, improve it with how pokemon behavior, and full open world even though its splitted in several area, battle at that place once it engange. Then comes SV they finalize it here. Finally. From one that is playing since gen 2 then 1.
Look at how pokemon evolve nowadays.
@@12exstar Honestly I feel like the SWSH DLC were the closest prototypes. I remember being surprised at how they gave Emolga specific overworked roaming by flying from tree to tree. While the general roaming felt more compact and ‘lively’.

I'm glad 6iv ditto is able to be caught because I thought it was gonna be impossible to get a 6iv ditto before home compatibility

@@mattmanley7118 I'm gonna try and find a 5/6 star ditto raid to get the 4-6iv and if I can't find one before home compatibility then I'll transfer over my legitimate poke radar 4iv one from BDSP or if home/SV will let me transfer the hacked 6iv Korean one I have in BDSP. No matter what I have at minimum a legit 4iv one so I'm good
@@Fliim it will most likely be late February early March based off previous games getting compatibility with home
Exactly during the 3DS era it was every February for bank and same with home it will be a week or 2 before Pokémon day only reason Legends and bdsp took so long was cause ilca used a different game system then what gamefreak normally works with so it set them back.
Tip for breeding ditto: if you breed ditto with 2 pokemon in your party but they have different pokeballs, the eggs will have the pokeball of the pokemon in which ditto bred with. For example, i bred a ditto and pawniard and frigibax at the same time but frigibax was caught in a greatball originally and pawniard in a nest ball so when ditto breeds with both i can tell which eggs are pawniards and which eggs are frigibax. The eggs that hatched into pawniards ALL had nest balls while the eggs that hatched into Frigibax ALL had greatballs. Very small tip!

For the Ditto, you can just lead with an Azurill/Magikarp and delete the moves except for Splash and False Swipe/Paralyze it before its PP runs out. That's how I caught mine
or "trap" Gallade with just false swipe, Hypnosis, swords dance.

After hours of hunting Ditto, I found out Ditto will not react to you when you get close. Every other Pokémon would have a question mark or an exclamation mark, then chases you, or simply panic and runs away. This could save a lot of time.
After months of scarcity, I’m very happy there will be more Austin videos with the release of Scarlet/Violet!
I figured something out the other night about Ditto raids and how to make them super super easy. If you're hosting then just bring in a level one magikarp. No offense no defense easy peezy. The Ditto seems to transform into the hosts pokemon.
I tried that. The downside is that all of your Allies pokemon match your level, assuming you’re playing solo

Bro 5-6 star ditto hunt took me a whole week and a half!!! Unlock the 6 ⭐️ raid guys itll like cut your time at least in half. And if you go poke portal to find ditto 6 ⭐️ make sure you go on odd hour like 2 am so you have a better shot of securing your spot. Good luck! Hope you dont have to endure my pain and God Bless
Yo AJP, do a video on Own Tempo Rockruff because alot of people don’t realize that you can find them in the West Province(Area One) & on top of that, won’t evolve unless it is sunset IN-GAME, not simply by having the internal clock being between 7pm-7:59pm or being that time IRL. Just caught my first OT Rockruff.😬
Tip: you can also press ZL to see the Pokémon’s name and level! It will show up as Ditto or Zorua, or ??? if you haven’t caught one of that species yet (even if you’ve caught the Pokémon it’s impersonating). This helped me a lot to catch a Ditto!

I wonder, would the wild Ditto or Zoura (as their imposter forms) even pop up in the overworld as shiny before you encounter them? Or would it look normal, but the actual Ditto and Zoura are shiny instead?
I feel like finding a shiny Ditto or Zoura is gonna be more hype than seeing a shiny in the overworld.
The disguise looks normal but when it reverts at the start of the battle it's shiny.

I have a feeling that when a shiny is gonna spawn for me I’m gonna be on koraidon going as fast as possible to the next quest
I noticed in a group of Kirlia, one was slightly larger than the others. Ended up a ditto
Pokémon have different sizes in this game just like in PLA, that doesn’t mean it’s always a ditto
Zora, the fish type imposter pokemon. It's always been my favorite next to Ceruledge named Link :)
I loved this part of the game. my first ditto was a grimer, and my first zorua was a pineco haha. it was such a surprise to find them lol. great video as always
Use Gholdengo for Ditto hinting. Ditto can't transform into it because of Good as Gold

For anyone who needs him. 1 charcadet location i have found is in a cave northwest of cortondo just off of the path before crossing the water. I found you can shiny hunt or farm this spawn if you want by leaving the cave saving the game, changing your system date by 1 day and then restart your game. When you re-enter the cave he should respawn. It seems he is the only pokemon to spawn in the cave and only once per day. This only takes a minute so it may be faster than hatching eggs I'm not sure.

When you find a 5star ditto, if you get the person who found the raid to use say... a lvl6 mongoose that only had tackle and leer... then the ditto would use imposter on the first pokemon and your raid will be ALOT easier
So. I was following the guide.. And found a shiny so thanks for the guide or I wouldn't have gotten a new shiny pokemon :D

Ditto raids are also easy btw, no matter the level. If you have a pokemon with only stat moves/status moves and lets say Physic type moves(espeon is really good for this) and bring a dark type friend along, you can effectively cheese ditto raids.

today I accidentally found a ditto while trying to get a Persian lol. I caught it and now I’m trying to get shiny sprigatito with it.
Little trick for ditto raids, if you become ditto against a ditto raid, the ditto will turn into you (as long as it’s your raid) and not be able to attack at all. While you can chose to transform into an ally and get a free win
You can also get zorua south in the hills if you follow the road to the end behind the restaurants and bakery etc.
Hey Austin John, can we reset evolving Dunsparce over and over until we get a 3-segment one or is it pre-determined at the time you catch it? Would hate to have to raise like 25 of them
I think for the 3 segment form you need to have 2 other dunsparce in your party

1/25 chance determined when it's created, not on evolution. So yeah unfortunately it will be a pain to get the 3 segment haha

Jut tried catching a Ditto while having Gholdengo out, and its ability 'Good as Gold' prevents Ditto from transforming meaning you can fight it in Ditto form.
Really wish I had watched this before I spent an hour knocking out tauros and oinkalogne before I finally found one :')
It seems that 4-10 Pokémon in an are will be real Pokémon while 2 are imposters among them and are trying to Sabotage the occupants while the other Pokémon try to Finnish their tasks and find the imposters among us
You can throw out a Pokémon with HP on a normal wild ditto and switch to a Mon to check if it's dark type if it's dark type catch it it might be 6dv

I like that they bothered to add these bits of personality to the Zorua and Ditto. Too bad that from all the available personalities pokémon can display, all that gets shafted by default idles that doesn't tell us if "it likes siestas" or "likes to fight". You need to catch to see the personality and thus the stats that it will potentially grow (how would you represent an Adamant pokémon if you could turn that personality into a telling idle animation to identify it on first sight?)

Just about to ge ready for bed & went on VIOLET & went to area for DITTO & FINALLY FOUND ONE .
Reduced DITTO's HP wih MEOWTH (very lucky PAYDAY attack was use) after several pokeball misses & 2 pokemon - I GOT DITTO.
Also found out how picnic works (got 3 eggs previous & didn't know how) I had only DITTO & the STARTER FIRE POKEMON & got 4 eggs.
Got Grass starter from SURPRISE TRADE (both versions) & waiting for the WATER STARTER. & FIRE STARTER on the other (SCARLET)
I was trying to find a ditto.. not sure if he’d look like a ditto or another Pokémon, when a girafarig walked into me.. (wasn’t chasing me. Just happened to step as I ran past) and turned out it was a ditto! Thanks ditto! I may not have found you otherwise

By the way if you press ZL bottom to left bumper button on your controller you can see the names of Pokémon And see if it’s a ditto if you do not own ditto it will pop up as three questionmarks as you do not own ditto
So if you have the Pokémon that ditto is transformed into but you don’t have ditto The Pokémon will pop up as three mystery marks rather than its name, insuring 100% of the time that it is ditto

Hi Austin, i noticed when i was watching one of your BOtW videos you told us to add attack boosting armor with attack boosting food, that infact, does not work. Only a level 3 boost will count. You can put on the barbarian helm, ohantom greaves, climbers gear, and a level 1 attack boost. But if you put on full barbarian armor and a level 3 attack boost from food, the only the atyack up from the barbarian armor counts.
I did not find this out on my own, the way i found out was a video by croton. I wont take credit for his work.

Lol was pushing west early and found my first Zoarark impersonating the tentacruel r/fake... Was using dunsparce to get dex entries for later and forced myself to catch it thinking he was rare at the cost of most of my team... Then just kept finding him while I was trying to get dex entries for further expeditions later... Still no entry for that r/fake 😆
I would like a ditto from another region, but ever since swsh I’ve really liked the idea of breeding a normal ditto with a random pokemon from another language instead, gives the same results but I dont have as many options when it comes to which shiny I wanna get. I sometimes find myself feeling like its difficult to decide so to limit myself like this makes it a whole lot easier
I think in a couple of guidebooks they spelt out the pronunciation for it to sound like Zorooa, I can't do the pronunciation spelling thing sorry, so it's said with the same sound from like, boo, or yoo-hoo, or woo
FYI for those doing his route for ditto, keep in mind ditto only assumes deerling, meowths and the dark flying mon i forgot his name, zorua takes form of persian, vigoroth and the big dog

Yeah wierdly enough i didnt know this yet, but yeah just before i clicked on this video. Ive noticed an evolved toadscool, but when i encountered it it transformed into zoroark.
You can just use the ZL lock on feature to bring up the Pokémon name. It shows whether or not it’s name is Ditto/Zorua, or the actual pokemon

I had a mass outbreak of ditto and i was like ah no I aint dealing with this right now
Not related to this video but to evolve pawmo do the 1000 steps and then MAKE sure pawmo is out in let’s go mode and then use exp candies or rare candy to level him up to finally evolve him
To unlock 6 star raids, you need to complete ten 5 star raids. You also unlock the ability to participate in 7 star event raids after you beat a 6 star raid
