    Yo Rashid, I finally went to the range to with slugs, this thing is amazing. Thanks for the conversation btw. But it cycled perfectly, the recoil wasn’t like any other 12 I have ever shot before. Very nice machine. Thought I would let you know, going to video a shot fest at the range soon enough. One thing I did do to it was getting a magpul vertical grip. Best shotgun I own by far.

      @@the5stacys when I got it home I broke it down and cleaned and oiled it first thing and I’m glad I did because the top barrel nut wasn’t where it was supposed to be or it might not have been fire ready otherwise. Pop it open and make sure, I never shoot straight out the box ever for that very reason. Helps to learn the insides as well. I just used the panzer video to break it down and found the nut half way up the barrel.

    I just received mine and the sights are pretty funny. You can't see the front sight through the rear no matter where your placement is unless your eye is on the stock and my head is tipped all the way on the side. Would like to know what ammo the manual recommends for break in. The original BP12 manual has a recommendation, current website PDF manual has zero recommendation (it was removed), and Panzer sales recommended these days ammo categorized as high velocity to use with the lower velocity piston.

    • @blest612
      @blest612  Рік тому

      You can use both high velocity and low velocity ammo. It’s easily adjustable just by pulling or pushing the gas regulator. Panzer recommends HV for any rounds that are greater than 1400fps or 1 ^3 8 oz.

    • @mariovazquez3874
      @mariovazquez3874 Рік тому

      @@blest612 Know that part. My issue is they changed the specs of the ammo for break in. Now their support department is suggesting for break in, loads that are considered on the manual as high velocity to use with the normal velocity gas piston.
      And the whole break in recommendation was completely removed from the current online manual available on their site... Very shady indeed.

      Break it down and clean and lubricate it really good with some CLP. Run some high velocity loads 1350fps plus buck shot, turkey shot, slugs… for break in. Not that complicated. The hotter the load the better it’ll perform

      I shot it but the range wasn’t the best to do a video. Also, I intentionally used different ammo and it was going well but then had feeding issues. Not sure if it was the gun or just needing some oil, so I’m going to do that and then get video at a different range hopefully this weekend. But I also bought a KS7 pump action and comparing them both, the EGX500 is just amazing. You will really tear up some targets

But it’s still to cool out there for me to hit an outdoor range yet. I will keep my eye open to see if you post a range day though, I’m going to watch it for sure. Thanks for that info too.

      You can adjust the tension on the ball bearing that seats in the notch of the charging handle. You have to disassemble to get to the tiny allen screw that holds/compresses a spring on the bearing. A tiny turn of said screw makes a big difference in tension and retention of the handle, so test before reassembling and get it to a point where you can manage removing/inserting the handle with your hands, but not so loose it might fly out during firing. On the one I'm looking at there is a crimp at the end of the threaded hole for the screw that looks like it's meant to prevent the it from backing all the way out, and I wouldn't force the screw into that crimp too much. • @jessehauser450

      @@urbanswagaddict When the pin is inserted (low velocity) it blocks a hole in the gas chamber. When the pin is pulled out the hole is unobstructed and (I would guess) this allows some of the gas in the gas chamber to exit so that it does not force the piston back too hard and cause damage or screw with the cycling. I would image that without the pin in there you are now limited to using high velocity (manual says 1400 to 1600 ft/sec) rounds. LV rounds might not cycle. You can always experiment and see if 1325 or 1200 ft/sec still work.
