The entire Heathen album was masterful, from Slow Burn, to Everyone Says Hi, to Slip Away, & this opener which is done beautifully here... Again, ambience is one approach, as Bowie & Eno showed in the Trilogy many years back, but you also have to have the song itself, or the great pattern shifts, as is Bowie's trademark here & throughout his career... the legend never dies
Wow I just realised as I read your comment that Heathen is up there with many other DB classics. The tracks you mention are the reason I feel this. The modern era disconnects us from albums favouring individual songs. Hearing Sunday performed live recently, I had to look up the track to remind me of the album it’s from. I still have all the CDs.

I happened upon this this morning and it literally stopped me in my tracks (I had UA-cam on my TV in my living room.) This is absolutely not only one of the best fan-made David Bowie videos EVER (if not the best,) it ranks among the very best of David's official videos, right up there with Life on Mars, for instance. And the fact that you put this together not long after after his death, well, I don't know how you did it. I couldn't get through WATCHING a Bowie video for two months after David's passing without gently weeping, gut-punched with sadness and profound feelings of loss, let alone create a video from scratch. I can't thank you enough, Sebastien, for this incredible labor of love you have gifted all us fans of David with. It's haunting, beautiful and spellbinding. It captures David's art in such a way that you cannot parse David from his art. David IS art; art IS David. It's just stunning, phenomenal; a revelation. An absolutely incredible video and work of art. Much love and deep, heartfelt gratitude to you. Now excuse me as I reach for some tissues.

I believe I heard that this song brought David to tears as well.
You touched my soul with this video. The talent of David Bowie is limitless. He's obviously a Song writer like no other. And a voice second to none. And knowing exactly how a particular song should sound and finding the incredible muscians to get that sound. It all comes together as a collage of incredible music. Then this savant learns his passing is eminent, does he look for pitty? Or go into hiding? Lord knows I probably would. He only puts out probably his most relevant music that wraps you up in his deepest emotions where it hurts. David I have seen you many times. You never met me but I've met you. You are my friend and we will meet and I will introduce myself up there. REST MY FRIEND

For the most part I don't like it when people alter his songs. But this...nothing short of breathtaking. Sound and vision both. It should tell you something that there is not a single "thumbs down" for it. That is extremely rare for anyone.

As I am a DAVID BOWIE fan from the very beginning (it was 1972 when I heard STARMAN for the first time), I particularly like these tribute videos! Hats off for this creativity!

Thank you for this precious tribute mix. Usually I dislike mixes. I think they can never hold a candle to the original. But this one of yours has me in tears within its first few moments. As does the immaculate manner in which you've selected and compiled, in slow motion format, film and video footage from throughout David Bowie's decades of incomparable, once-in-an-eon gifts to this world.
I'm especially glad to see that you've included video footage from Sense of Doubt/Moss Garden/Neukolln at 2:59. I so adore that video. For me, it is as if his whole magnificent soul becomes one with the camera during its exquisite, breathtaking, otherworldly window in time. The first time I saw this video footage, I thought to myself, "Dear God, even the man's hands were holy..."
Oh, but now I'm going to make myself descend into inconsolable crying...although I guess it's too late to keep myself from going there now...so I'd better say goodbye. Anyway, thank you. Just, thank you. I'll be sure to share this lovely tribute to Bowie of yours with others far and wide...
