  • The Scylla was the last frigate to be built at Devonport in 1968. She was decommissioned in 1993. This is Europe’s first artificial diving reef. The wreck lies upright on a sandy sea bed of about 23m. Top depth is about 9m. She is 113m long and 13m wide.
It was a great dive and you can swim through it but be very careful and make sure you can see the exit at the end. Visibility was merky due to the saturation from other divers, but still a fantastic dive. The white Coral is beautiful and did not hit any at all so please make sure all gear is tucked away and your buoyancy is good.

@@scuba_steve73 no worries mate, that’s why I post these videos, genuinely it’s my current UK favourite wreck dive. Try and find the bath tub in the captains quarters!

The boat Size Matters is an old friends boat that used it as a charter fishing boat around the Mersey, Scotland and the South Coast. Kev McKie, he had some amazing catches aboard that boat

Worked on this back in 1987 when it was in dry dock at Rosyth Naval Base!

So far, it's probably my favourite UK wreck to date, the coral was absolutely gorgeous.
