One of the main reasons I loved this game is that there was no real meta for weapons anybody could pick any weapon and use them and out gun anybody it was very good
Incredible INCREDIBLE game. So fun. And to top it off? So fun to play with friends, with so many ways to do so. Constantly a new mode to play, and the zombies maps were incredible and encouraged team work. In my eyes, it is basically the perfect CoD game. I wish it could be done again but unfortunately the community wants different things, and Activision’s visions for the games have changed :(
Gracias, señor. I enjoyed the video a lot. BO3 is quite precious to me. My first game I bought with my new PS4 after 3 years of saving. I was and still am mezmerized :) Bless and have a nice day!
This was the last good COD imo. Maybe it’s a little bit of nostalgia and was a good part of my life but the game was so enjoyable, the attachments were simple and the camos were easy. Zombies were great too and enjoyable. The double jump felt great and wasn’t too all over the place. Love it and wish they could make something similar.
For zombies, I feel like if they stayed in the direction of bo1, zombies would be no where near as big or as fun as it is in this game. And like you said, what makes all these maps great is that you can play them casually. So there really isn't a problem IMO
I think black ops three was the best cod to experience in its year in the “cod cycle.” There was so much support for the multiplayer and balance updates and content drops and community contracts. Gobblegums were a small addition at first, but revolutionized the way zombie players do high rounds, Easter eggs, and pacing on every map. And they completely changed older maps that didn’t have many of the new features like pap perks etc. Every zombies experience in this game was amazing and innovative, and the biggest mindfuck to ever happen was in black ops 3... DLC 5. THEY DID DLC 5!!!! The only thing that brought down bo3 was the micro transaction system. Honestly it’s fucking terrible and inexcusable, but damn does it feel good to get a new gun from supply drops. However the system should never return. I’m prestige master level 500, and almost prestige master in zombies. This game has so much content and it’s all amazing. This is my favorite call of duty.
my only negative experience for black ops 3 was joining friends. I remember we would always have to close app untll it worked. Thats it. And now that I've played it on pc, joining friends isnt even a problem
On PC it's still 60 bucks, tho if you get a PC disk version you get a free steam code with it, which I coped for 10 dollars xD. Alot more safe then those steam key websites
I’ve been playing and mw2 (2022) and I came to this video bc I wanted to see if other people actually liked this game like me. I think people don’t realize how good of a game this is.
I agree that the campaign is really underrated. Yes, it’s story and pacing isnt that good but playing coop with friends was a complete blast almost like a spec ops mission
I've been really wanting to make a video why black ops 3 is the best cod of all time for sure (not counting campaign) i say black ops 2 is just barely under it at number 2. Great video dude
The MP in this single handedly made it my number 1 favorite cod of all time. Im a hardcore fan of sci-fi first and foremost, and those i love contemporary based shooters like Mod-warfare as well, i just like the futuristic sci-fi shooters better. Which is why, unlike most cod fanboys, i actually loved advanced warfare, bo3, and infinite warfare. Those three, bo2, bo4, and 2019's modern-warfare are my six favorite cods. The earlier, more beloved cods i never got into much cuz i simply though Battlefield did contemporary/modern combat shooters better, so it wasn't until cod started going futuristic that i thought it was something Battlefield wasn't doing, except for 2142 of course, which was fuckin phenomenal, but completely forgotten pretty much immediately after it launched.). BO3's gameplay, the weapon designs, the skins, and especially the massive selection of awesome weapons made it's my not just my favorite from cod, but up there with the likes of Halo's 2/3/5, Titanfall 1 and 2, Crysis 3, Killzone 3 and Shadow-Fall, and Planetside 2 as being my favorite mp games of all time. Great review man!
To this day bo3 is my favourite cod game, mp and zombies were perfect to me, campaign was pretty bad but seriously mp and zombies are sooo good it makes up for the poor campaign
Why do you put so much work and effort into a beautiful, long, in depth retrospective, than only get 993 views... you deserve to blow up man. Wish you luck and great job 👍🏻✌🏻 Ps: Bo3 IS my favorite cod 🔥
Wow, thank you! The way UA-cam works it isn't always about how hard you work on it unfortunately. You need a lot of algorithm luck lol, but thank you those words mean A LOT!
First of all, cool video. I loved it. Put together really well. Now, I feel those ppl out there who are into call of duty campaigns ought to check BO3 out. Dont hate on it and avoid playing it cuz everybody else hates it. This is soo good that you might actually enjoy it. I feel the campaign in BO3 was pretty damn good and fun. Sure the story was confusing as fuck but the missions and the gameplay were really really good. I had a blast going through it. Using the powers felt great. The classic call of duty gunplay is intact here which is awesome by the way. I didnt like the part where you have to pilot that stupid jet. In fact i hated it. Absolute lowpoint of the campaign. The graphics could have been better i think. But overall i feel they were trying to do smthing radically different and fans decided to shit all over it. Its got some really cool moments like the mission where you get to play in WW2 setting with modern weapons!! And all the stuff is rearranging around you..you dont get to see that sorta stuff too often in other games. thats my opinion and i thought i should share it here. Peace out.
This game is decent imo. It's a game that does so many things right but it also makes a lot of dumb mistakes. -Average campaign, if it wasn't for the skill trees, abilities, HUB area, and co-op then I would have no reason to go back to it because the levels themselves can be really bad or just okay. -Story is absolute dog shit. It's insanely confusing, it has nothing to do with BO1 or 2, and the characters aren't interesting at all. -Nightmare mode is bad and somehow more glitchy than the normal campaign but I still have a lot of fun with it. The normal campaign is a lot more fun though and there's so much more they could've added to the mode. -Multiplayer is great, great maps and modes but it also has the worst lootbox system of any Cod and some ridiculous customization options for your character. -Zombies is probably a masterpiece, definitely the best one in the entire franchise -This game probably has the most content out of any Cod. Shame that some of the content isn't very good. 7/10
In my opinion bo3 was an ok game the campaign was horrible there was things I enjoyed about like the co op side of it and also how you can customize your character in campaign but overall the story was garbage and the game had no connection to the previous black ops games. The multiplayer was ok I feel that the multiplayer was fun I feel they improved the movement from aw and also the game felt smooth but the problem was that after you unlocked everything it got boring quite faster as the weapons werent grindable they all available In supply drops they should've corrected the system like bo4. The zombies was amazing the innovated so much and the maps were all great there wasnt really a bad map and also I loved how they introduced leveling up and pressing in zombies and also I like the bubblegum system as I changed the way we play zombies . The one issue I had was the zombies was a bit to easy and I prefer when zombies is more harder as it gives more replay ability as you can learn the game. Overall bo3 for was amazing I didn't play much of the mp and I played a ton of the zombies
Usually in cod campaigns the story is a lot easier to understand and black ops 3 completely over complicated the story way too much but I can see your point they tried to be different but It didn't work.
If this game had free wepans and a follow up from BO2 campaign this game would be perfect the campaign fucking ass btw also a brecci nerf would of been nice
I kinda disagree on your point that having a complicated story isn't necessarily bad. In my opinion it doesn't matter if what the writer is trying to say is brilliant if they cannot get you to understand it naturally while playing the game / watching the movie. Imagine if the campaign was not complicated whatsoever and everybody who played it could understand the entire premise once they reach the credits. Wouldn't you say that's a better campaign? Another thing is you saying that people cannot hate on the campaign, because only 4% have actually finished it. If you'd look at the achievements percentage on xbox you'd see that around 50% of all players actually started the campaign (there is no achievement for completing the first mission on any difficulty, but we can round it up from the campaign achievement with the most percentage, aka killing an enemy through a wall with 44%). So that means that only 10% of all people who played the campaign actually finished it. Compare this with other campaigns: BO3 (10%) AW (45%) Ghosts (45%) BO2 (45%) MW3 (55%) BO1 (60%) MW2 (75%) MW1 (55%) Cold War (50%) MW19 (no data) BO4 (lol) WW2 (55%) IW (30%) Most people who don't like a campaign just never finish it. With BO3 the most amount of people never finished it, despite having one of the highest amount of people who actually started it. Most people who watch a terrible movie don't sit through the whole thing, I don't think someone's opinion on the campaign just because they haven't finished it. As someone who always finishes a game or movie, no matter how much i hate them, i fully understand people who don't do that and you have to put this into perspective.
Well everyone is different and is able to understand stories differently. Some ppl understood the BO3 campaign on first playthrough, others didn't. And to me, I don't consider an opinion that valid on something unless you finished it. Same with a movie, finish the movie first and then I'll take your full thoughts on it seriously. It's not like COD campaigns are that long, they are pretty short, I'd understand if it was a 30 hour game, that's different.
I say if u didn’t finish it you cannot say if it is good or not either play it and actually finish the campaign then write a comment or do a review and yeah people like it and some don’t but as a gamer I personally like it epic cod and best game ever!
My view is that a cod game cant be incredible if 1 of the 3 are trash. The campaign is easily the worst in the entire series. The multiplayer plays like shit, the maps aren't even designed well for the advanced movement. I wish the maps were good then this game could easily been top 8 best cods and if the campaign was even a quarter as good as bo1 this game would easily be top 3
The campaign sucked ass to be honest. A good idea yes but execution is what matters in my opinion. And it’s no connection to black ops 1 and 2 besides a few throwaway lines. Its no reason to be called Black Ops 3. But the multiplayer was alright. Zombies on the other hand, SO FUCKING INCREDIBLE
Amazing? NOPE. Terrible? Also no. Frankly, the story is definitely poorly told, but it had potential. I can see a pretty alright rewrite of it. Perhaps tying back to BO2, with the upgrades in technology, and a viewpoint of the government that they could better have their soldiers be uniform. And subservient. Hence why the DNI/DNS thing, can work. Tie it in to project MK ULTRA. The real life CIA sleeper agent project. Make a cod that isnt afraid to show horrors. No happy go lucky joyous banter stuff. Or, at least keep it to a minimum. Seeing soldiers with these metallic implants, being tested in a white room, slowly morphing through every blink into a new world, that could be fantastical. But, theres something...off, about it. The colors are muted, perhaps even monochrome. And, you begin to hear, numbers. As though they are coming from a radio broadcast. We know about the radio towers in real life, number stations, as they're referred to. So, why not tie a similar concept into the DNI. Have it be a signal that's put into the system, and will allow one to manually control the soldier by force. Show how it is so disturbing, and how frightening it is. Through gameplay. Perhaps an odd slowdown, and your movements feel quite robotic. Like you're not in control of your own body. I would like to see a cod where its nit some action movie thing. Something smaller scale, and much more horror focused, that would be very interesting. Medical and body horror with some psychological mindfuckery, that would go a long way to making cod scary and shocking again. And its creative.
A cod UA-camr whose not toxic and actually knows about zombies is amazing
One of the main reasons I loved this game is that there was no real meta for weapons anybody could pick any weapon and use them and out gun anybody it was very good
Agreed. Gun balance was very good
Some of the best mechanics of any cod game
this game had such good music
I think Black Ops 3 has the most sinister campaign since World at War.
I swear this guy was reading my mind
I couldn’t more with absolutely everything you said
Finally bought it on pc and man it brought back so many memories. Definitely one of the best cod
how?
It’s so good to see a member of the call of duty community who’s not toxic and I’d really like to hear your thoughts on Cold War and Vanguard
