You might even have heard of them by now, but for your reforestation ideas I believe would you really enjoy getting in touch with the guys at Reflorestar Portugal. You seem to share the same values and they for sure have a lot of know how to offer. Cheers!

You have said before you can hear the traffic noises. As you thin out the invasive trees the noise will get worse. You should study the sound waves made by the cars. Then if the region allows it, you could create mounts of earth using the trees cut down, from the thinning, covered with dirt (hugelkultur) to block the waves. This would let you dispose of tree waste, reduce unwanted sound and the mounds would act as fire breaks from neighboring areas. Great job guys!!

As you said in some videos prior, the speed will be gradually decrease of development as it grows like a circle! Initial work seems fAst pace but later seems a bit slow it's just there are multiple branches that open up later! But I wait every week to watch the update! Hope the best for you!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I love the way you are teasing out the properties and history of the land. What's also so cool, is that it's to make good decisions, sustainable, constructive and not to exploit and damage the land. The ruin you cleared is special, making use of the incline and the huge stones to support a roof structure. I don't think this was for farm animals, the door, hinge holes and window opening makes it more like a habitation, goodness knows how old it is. I wonder If the neighbours know who lived there. Last comment, Dave, great guide, you make it so interesting and every one working in front of and behind the camera, best wishes, I like the energy, thoughtfulness and care you bring to this piece of land. Take care, stay safe.

It would be great if you could harvest the water from the giant rocks into a small canal to fill up a three stage water storage pond system. You could retain enough water that you could assist your neighbors with their agriculture. It would feed the aquifers and give you water to fight fires.

Hey I think you know him already but Andrew Millison's channel is really good about landscaping and watermanagement. You have to fill your aquafers indeed, and to have species that survive to long droughts. I also advise you to check what Yacouba Sawadogo did in Burkina Faso to plant fruit trees to fight the desert. To prevent wildfires, goats can help while eating brambles. Include a lot of micro climates for differents species. Maybe you can also find documentation about species around you and observe wildlife, to help it to florish again. If you have some french with you or you can understand it, I also advise you the channel "permaculture agroécologie etc.."wich is good to understand more about biodiversity and landscaping.
Succes from a french in the netherland ! :)

I really think you should try to get a woodchipper to put all that cut down mimosas to good use. There are many people who garden on an elevated ground with a layer of like 20 cm of woodchips. It contains a lot of moisture, givin for example fruittrees a fertile and healty ground to grow in. You could up your gardening game while having a great way to get rid of mimosas :)

Hey Project Kamp have a question: The area between the road and your land can you put up a "Noise Burm"? I live on a farm here in Canada where we had our neighbor farmers that wanted to clear out an area of land donated dirt for free and we put it on our land near the road but not to disturb the drainage but it keeps the cars and trucks noise down immensley. Would that work for you too maybe? So any area of land that you have that you want to clear can start your Noise Burm too.

Maximize the value of your land. I think you better start to clear more land for making profit. Such as build some green house to plant vegetables and flowers. Build some workshops for day camp tours. Marking camp sites for people come for weekends family camping. Through the way to can see which direction is the best. We can't wait until the renovation work is complete. Making profit is the most important thing to do. I watching your project from day 1. You are a good guy. So you need to make your dreams come true. But don't last for too long. Making profit can modify everything. I hope you can open minds to your future.
