Ingredients -
Honey Sriracha Sauce & Chicken -
1/2 Cup (120g) - Sriracha Sauce
3 Tbsp (60ml) - Low Sodium Soy Sauce
1 1/2 Tbsp (30ml) - Apple Cider Vinegar
2 1/2 Tbsp (50g) - Honey
15g (0.5oz) - Fresh Ginger, Grated
4 - Garlic Cloves, Grated
2 1/2 tsp (9g) - Corn Flour
1 Tbsp (20ml) - Peanut Oil
1.2kg (2.6lb) - Chicken Thigh
Seasoning To Taste
Jasmine Rice -
300g (10.5oz) - Jasmine Rice, Washed
500g (500ml) - Cold Water
Salt To Taste
Aromatics (Optional)
Sautéed Broccolini -
3 tsp (15ml) - Peanut Oil
300g (10.5oz) - Broccolini, Ends Trimmed
2 tsp (10ml) - Sesame Oil
Seasoning To Taste
Garnish (Optional) -
Black & White Sesame Seeds Spring Onion (Scallion)
Recipe Notes -
If you don't like spice, the sriracha sauce can be substituted for sweet chilli sauce or tomato ketchup.
This dish can also be made with chicken breast. If you wish to do so, cook the chicken for 2 minutes less.
The rice and broccolini can be swapped with your favourite sides and vegetables. The chicken can also be substituted for tofu if you want it vegetarian or vegan.

I severely underestimated how spicy sriracha sauce is because I usually used it as a dipping sauce and never found it too spicy. But THIS, holy moly IT IS SPICY!! I might do 1/8 cup of sriracha and the rest with tomato ketchup next time.
For those who made the same mistake as I did, to get rid of the hot sauce and make the chicken less spicy, I put in milk and hot water, then stir it up for a few seconds, get rid of the liquid, then do the same again. No need to do this over the heat.

Finally got round to making this. Took me almost 45 minutes to chop/dice and measure everything out (skill issue) but holy hell this tastes good, and it’s still amazing when reheated too. Will be trying more of your recipes in future!

I made this last night and it was SO good! I made a few changes by grilling the chicken on the barbecue (because we already had one lit) and then chopped the garlic/ginger and briefly frying before adding everything else. Thank you!!
Frying the garlic and ginger sounds like prior to adding all the other ingredients sounds like a great idea.
Nice idea having the sound of the cooking beneath your voice.
You should however adjust the volume ratio. Your voice is a bit too quiet compared to the sizzeling

The portion sizes in the video and description don't match sometimes. In the video you said 500g of broccolini but in the description it is 300g.
Amazing recipe! Just one thing, the thumbnail is suggesting that 5 portions = 55g of protein, while it's 1 portion = 55g of protein

Exactly what I'm looking for: batch cooking for high protein meals sensitive to other macros, with no compromise attention on taste (jasmine rice, peanut oil...), and glass containers on top of all that. It would be nice to have simpler / cheaper substitutes for ingredients listed, especially sauce. Here ketchup was mentioned, but many similar quick recipes use something like some sort of exotic wine or whatever. Well maybe it is NOT so exotic, but my local grocery store does not have anything even close to it - that's why I'm very interested in alternatives. Anyways, tried the recipe and it’s outstanding. I love super flavorful stuff and this hit the mark perfectly. Only thing is for some reason I didn’t end up with enough rice. Used you exact measurements and used an accurate scale.
I too made the sweet chili chicken recently. My family loved the flavors and we have added to my list of meals. Funny enough I have thighs in the refrig right now and sriracha in the pantry. I know what I am making tonight for supper.

This recipe is super delicious! However, I wanted to ask about the macros for the jasmine rice. I'm wondering if the grams/serving should be 60g total ( 300g called for in the recipe divided by 5 servings) instead of the 180g /serving that is listed in the infographic in the video? I might not be interpreting this correctly...
Rice triples in size when cooked which is why the serving sizes are 180g.

Great recipe. I felt the need to share, this recipe is properly spicy. I enjoy spice, but this is hot. Perhaps it depends how hot your sriracha is... let's just say my sinuses are clear. To be clear I do enjoy spicy food and eat a lot Indian, mexican, Thai if that's of help to anyone.

Would chicken thighs not be better as lower in fat?
Chicken breast is leaner than thigh. Both are delicious. You'll achieve more flavour with thighs too due to the higher fat content.
This visual recipe is much better than the "In 60+" version; lol. You probably had great fun editing the speedy Gorgonzola version. With all that aside, this recipe looks outstanding and this girl is all over it. I will have to wait a couple of days before I can give it a try, but I am betting it will be worth the wait. Thanks so much for the demonstration.

surely need to eat 2 of these per meal. im 6ft 3. 190 pounds and even for me 1 of these is barely a snack. might be fine for an average woman but no man would be full after that portion surely
This really depends on how much you eat. If you need two you can always double the recipe and make 10 for 5 days

What model is your single gas hob?
As someone who can't really cook I have to be honest, these ingredient lists are a bit intimidating. Got anything for someone who doesn't need to mix 4+ things with the sauce?
It's not as hard as you may think. As long as you have measuring spoons, just use whatever amount is mentioned in the recipe, over time you'll learn to use your own measurements. Give it a try, don't be afraid of failure
Do I need to buy low sodium soy sauce/will the final product be too salty with just normal soy sauce? Thanks in advance
I used my normal soy sauce (not dark) and it turned out delicious.
With the portions I saw in the video there is no way that’s 55g of protein >.>

@@ChefJackOvens Well I did just that before I commented. But I can’t really weigh the portions in that video. Just going off of visuals and the portions of chicken I personally eat on a daily basis It just doesn’t seem like 55grams.

Is there a way to store or cool your food? By the 5th day sometimes the food smells a bit off? I usually let my food cook overnight then put in the fridge
Always freeze after 3 days. The storage instructions are in the video at the end
