@@justinbonfinimusic I hear the resemblance. One thing I will say though, M. Shadows really emphasizes on his vowels. Put more emphasis on your vowels. Other than that, I think you sound like him
I wouldn't say that he sings like him, but his timbre is certainly great, and it matches perfectly with the instrumentals, his best cover is Unbound (:
The Scream cover sounded so similar to the real version, you absolutely nailed it. Overall you do sound very much like Matt while also having a totally unique style. Love it!
Of course you sound like him, I even thought you're his little brother or something when I first saw you in Nik Nocturnal's avenged sevenfold song, you're even holding the same invisible watermelon 😅
Its hard to tell when you're singing avenged sevenfold songs but it sounds like you have higher natural register than M Shadows also your technique is less nasal sounding. Great voice nonetheless!
Thanks, Don! Yeah, that dude can sing high. I have a high register, however it's short lived. Maybe if it was my full-time job, I could increase my singing duration, haha.

Damn bro even some faces where you look just like him 😂 You should do vocal coaching mate! Stay hard!
Haha thanks buddy! I definitely make parts more M. Shadows for the sake of entertainment. My original stuff sounds different though. Thanks for your comment!!
Hey! I basically use vocal fry but a lot of what I do is just based on my physiology. I got a lot of my learning on doing vocal fry from Extreme Vocal Institute on UA-cam and instagram! David is amazing!!

You sound like him a lot in some of these, especially So Far Away. Amazing, his vocal coach was Ron Anderson (arguably the best coach), so he truly is underrated. Have you tried to master the advanced compression belting technique he uses for songs like Scream, Nightmare, etc?
Yeah Ron was great! I was fortunate enough to speak with him, since I couldn’t afford his services (he took the time to explain a few things to me).I have never tried to master that vocal compression. I’d love a good vocal coach to work with. That’s something I really want to do.
You have a lot of power and range in your voice that I just absolutely envy (in the good way of course!) I definitely would love to Second Heartbeat or something off WTF with you at some point if you’re down for that! (Maybe for the 20th anniversary? 👀) But seriously though, keep rocking man.

I also love singing avenged songs but I’m good for like 2 or 3 songs if really going for it. Tonight the world dies depletes stamina in one go. Anyway how hard do you push for upper register rasp? You sound more attainable than shadows for me at least and still sound awesome.
Thanks for your comment, Nic! They are fun to sing, but I’ll be honest with you, I definitely struggle. They don’t come easy. Seize The Day is definitely my most comfortable song along with So Far Away, but the others take so much time. I don’t much hard for the upper rasp. It’s more vocal compression than anything, and I’m using very little air. I don’t know how Shadow’s does it, but that dude has some insane lungs for how long he goes without a taking a breath.
i don't think you sound like m shadows you only use the raspy voice technique but with your voice because you don't use the nasal setting so much Great job!
M Shadows technique is one of the hardest to master. He is a very skilled singer. I've been singing for about 5 years now and I figured out how to do it but why would you want to sound exactly like another singer?
Very good question and valid point. A lot of my earlier stuff I’ve had people tell me I sound like the singer for A7X, and it just sort of progressed. It was a few years ago where I did a few A7X tunes for the first time, and it got interesting. I’m doing a few more A7X tunes, and then diving into other stuff.
i really don't hear it Matt is super nasaly , and I think that's the element you are missing especailly in city of evil/ self titled , Something like a less exagreated version of Bat evils Bridge breakdown in C major or the whole chorus to Wicked End. "To survive" phrasing . WAY MORE notiaceble when he is singing live. You have a lot of Diaphgram and power all the time & He has the axl rose phrasing when he descends scales. Since so many A7X Songs are in D minor or D# You can probably get away with a lot of similarity just becausse of that. COE is def vocally over produced MIA live he couldn't hit falsetto notes in his prime & he said mudrock killed him on that record with takes. In the self titled/nightmare you can tell the difference in his sound as he was more in his register with less stacks of vocals letting the other band members do harms. Again a comparrison would be in the bridge of Wicked End & MIA he is a way uncomfortable register on the verge of his voice going shiet. By the time Hail to the king came out , is where you''re at now all power. Uses a lot more modal mixture with the Major third in D Major- with the being added Probably where it comes back to COE is Heretic/ Doing time which is like a homage GUNS N roses tribute band vocalist doing Locomotive by GNR. I would say they have a lot of the same style where their voices timbre/tone is not for everyone, Some people can't hear GNR because of Axl and some people love the musicianship of A7X but can't stand matts voice. and when we go to the stage in the "progg era" even in that song the bridge goes back to the nasally roots of COE Phrasing & then goes back into that verge of his register breaking . And we are like a whole step off of what he usally sings into with E phrygian. Paradigm is almost like a staley phrasing (The best singer who ever lived for rock) . Sunny dispo chorus is another axl rose/staley "the skin" in the bridge phrasing . It's almost like them Bones from AIC, but that's because their is a lot more dorian/mixolyidian in the stage album. the way AIC was and older rock. the outro chorus is Nutty & that's what you're missing is that part of shadows. Creating God with staley AI would be so fucking nuts. I legit would just drag out vibrato bendy all the notes in d minor lol asending and descending on a keyboard every day and all the notes all the half steps to make dorian and Mixolydian and then back the major third. and then Idk where the fuck we are with nobody because he sounds way way different and aggressive only when, the lydian harms come in do i notice his tone the whole song of his tone is very different and a modulation I Wonder how this album is going to be. Cheers mate keep it up! just my two cents from a stupid internet fuck.
