Very moving tribute. I always enjoy Sarah's insight on baseball, whether nationally on MLB Network or here locally in New York when she's a guest on SNY. Thank you for everything you've done for the game, Sarah. And yes, the game loves you as well
My mom lost her fight against ALS the day before my birthday. She went through clinical trials of drugs hoping that if they didn't save her, it would save someone else. Stay positive no matter what Sarah and always keep smiling 💛💛💛
Sarah is such a great baseball analyst, researcher, communicator, commentator and person. She is our modern-day 5-tool baseball star. Sarah and 5-tooler Lou have been gifted to us, for the time they are here, to awaken us and to remind us that…our brief time on this Earth is just Spring training for the wonderful season that awaits each of us who have the faith that Sarah is teaching each of us to embrace. Whatever distracts you tonight, put that aside, and hug Sarah, and what she is telling us about what is most important in life.
I have shared this video with everyone I know. Caught this on a whim watching MLB network while making lunch this afternoon and ended up in such heartache. Stay strong Sarah, and everyone else who is dealing with this disease. Her quote about telling those around you that you love them before something wrong is going on hits hard and true.
Please God let there be a cure for ALS. No one should ever go with this disease. You are truly a remarkable woman and human being, Sarah. God bless you 🙏
I just watched this on the MLB app, came to UA-cam to give the video a like. Sarah's passion for baseball is inspiring! Beautiful tribute from her friend.
Didn’t want to watching known that it’ll be sad and will make me cry; but her braveness facing this disease was inspiring enough to get the courage I needed. Really someone to admire fighting for make the difference until her last breath. An honor to share this time space with Sarah.
Praying that God will cover you and your family with peace in your days to come. Thank you Sarah for your love and support for Americas greatest game, your passion is obviously one that will always shine amongst the true fans!
Really listen to Sarah here. If there's anyone in your life that you love, that you couldn't live without, who lights up your life, who text you when no one else would, who bugs you too much, just someone who's there at all - TELL them. Especially men. They don't often feel vulnerable enough to do it, but trust me, you really should. Listen to Sarah.
@tylers5499 She’s still alive. Could be for some time still. The life expectancy range for ALS is broad. Could be a year after diagnosis, or it could be 50 years like Stephen Hawking.
This is an amazing story but I don't understand why MLB and ESPN are parading her around for donations when they easily could donate a couple of hundred million dollars for the good of humanity.
Sad But What Is Her Prognosis? I Forgot How Long She Has Left But It Cant Be Very Long, She Should Be Concentrating On End Of Life Procedures Instead Of Doing A Lot Of Strenuous Things, There Is No Cure For This So She Can STop Pretending

I shouldn’t be crying like this on a Saturday morning.
Sarah is a tough as Lou Gehrig was. She is an inspiration. Strength to you, Sarah.

Sorry for your loss. That must’ve been rough considering the timing

Not even a cure, just some medications that could extend her life or something that allows you to live with it, like HIV.
Praying to the god that gave it to her for the cure. A evil god.

Total inspiration. Don’t believe she’s comfortable with all the fuss but her story needs to be out there.
