Thank Wil'Liam for your efforts in helping non-Jews to open their hearts and minds with G_d's truth. Thank you Rabbi Kormonik for being a part of this beautiful journey with Wil'Liam and us non-Jews. May H bless you both and all those individuals involved in TeNakh Talk.
27:48 Since my wife OBM passed last year, I have been actively increasing my giving, and frequently specify that I'm giving on my wife's behalf. I actually have MORE money to give than I did before she passed.
Just to clarify what the rabbi was saying about milk. The simple rule is milk from a kosher animal, ie. Cow, sheep etc is kosher. The question is when you go to the farmer and he hands you a pail of milk are you able to trust when he says yeah this is cow's milk you don't have to worry pigs milk was mixed in, that he may have other animals on the farm and you're not sure so therefore the rule was you have to watch him milk it and then you take the Pail from him and pay him, etc. Today a leniency has been adopted by many which is what the rabbi was saying where with government supervised farms you don't need to have a Jew watching the cows being milked and verifying until the bottles are sealed that nothing else got in there no pigs milk etc however many stringent people do not trust the government supervision is enough and retain that stringency that it must be supervised from the time of milking until it reaches the bottle the unsupervised milk is therefor labelled plain kosher milk whereas the fully supervise milk is labelled chalav Israel milk. Just wanted to clarify.
It's also important to specify that Tsedaka only counts when we give to worthy causes. Certain 'charities' like concert halls, political causes, anti G-d organizations such as atheist Universities wouldn't count.
