    I have an idea for an HUGE video you could do. How about list a few platforms, ESPN, Fantasy Pros, Sleeper, Underdog…. And compare your own rankings with that platform and do a video on who is the best value on the different platforms. For most of us that use ESPN the rankings and ADPs are so ridiculously trash. It would be a huge help to tell us what players are the best value on that platform

    Have to agree on D Bro's number one tip. All off-season last year I was drafting in the 8 spot and taking Ceedee Lamb every draft with a follow up of ARSB on the way back.and was pumped about that start. When my real draft came around Cooper Kupp fell to 8 which he hadn't once in any mock I did the entire summer. I ended up taking Kupp over Lamb + ARSB on the way back and 2 days later they announced he was going to be out with the hamstring issue. Meanwhile, the guy in my league who did 0 research all season and not a single mock draft took Lamb and crushed the entire league. Had I just stuck with my guys I would have started Lamb and ARSB.

    The Dbro is correct on the draft BPA is the best way to go. My final lineups never look like my drafts. I lost both QB's last season and won with Joe Flacco. I never would have thought that in August when we drafted.

    I've always liked to handcuff my RBs idk....I like kyren/corum this year because Mcvay only uses 1 RB..if kyren gets hurt corum could eat...but you definitely got me thinking on this....I handcuffed Ken walker/charb. Last year... wasn't necessary... thanks guys

      That's the biggest question for me, keep Kyren or keep cook? I could target corum later in draft to try and steal that starter. Kyrens backup is kinda expensive tho

    Won my fantasy league last year! Have some tough decisions to make this year. 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 Flex, 2 keepers no penalty. Have CMC, JT, Nico, Kupp, Kyren. Take your advice and grab a WR because of the 3 WR setup? Or take the value at RB and try to hammer WR in draft. Have the last pick as well.
    Great content!

    • @patfitzmaurice1575
      @patfitzmaurice1575 18 днів тому +1

      Thanks! I would keep CMC and JT and hammer WRs in the draft. You have (in my opinion) 2 of the top 4 RBs. BIG advantage at the position. As long as you spend those first few rounds pounding the WR position, you should have an excellent team (especially in a year where you can afford to be patient at QB and TE, as I mentioned on the show).

    Another great show guys!! Some good tips for beginners (or "squares") and there is some possibility I fall in that category Fitz!! I love NFL DFS - strictly small stakes - and I win more than I lose, but I have never played season long ...I don't have time for waiver wire and full maintenance. Last season I dipped my toe into BB because it is "set it and forget it" which fits my schedule. Sorry for the long biography you are probably asleep by now. Anyway.... I broke a lot of your rules last year Fitz. I handcuffed my own running back. I took QB before Round 3 - love your quote on another show - "I'm not touching a QB before Round 3." Despite my lack of knowledge, I got lucky and advanced 2/4 lineups to Quarters, and 1/4 to Semis ....beginner's luck for sure and a small sample size. I am a small timer this year again, just a few lineups, probably will all crash and burn .... BUT I do LOVE the BB format .... and love this show. Thanks guys!

    Loved D-Brown's tip of drafting the best player available. REALLY hard to discipline myself, as Worm said, especially in Superflex, but there are quarterbacks who start the year at the back of the pack, like a QB25-30, and then have a killer year or slide in to a starter's role after an injury and then take off. You sure can't control injuries, but following D-Brown's tip may pay big dividends down the road even in Superflex leagues if you have a little luck and timing on the waiver wire! Roll the bones, baby!!

    Problem with home leagues like casual work league is that 3-4 players will auto draft, eliminating any chance of Waddle going past the 3rd round. Like I want Achane but even in my home league he’s not falling past early 3rd round. So if I have the 6th slot, if I don’t grab Achane in the second then most likely he won’t fall to mid 3rd

      Thanks, Knight. Well ... I think my "hammer WRs" advice applies with your league format. Also, I think a wait-on-QB strategy would be smart since your QB is one of NINE starters. The multiple flexes dilute the importance of QBs a bit, and it's a good year to be patient at that position anyway.

    That’s dumb advise, there’s always dominant defenses that put up points and like 5 teams all trying to pick up the same streaming defenses and unless you loosing and have the top of the waiver to waste on def it doesn’t work

      The thing is, we *think* we know who the dominant defenses are, but the scoring for team defenses is pretty unpredictable year to year.

      @@patfitzmaurice1575 Hey Pat! Agonizing over this one: 10 team PPR, 3WR, 2 Flex. Picking 7th (I have no 1st round pick, but 2 6th round picks). Keep one: Ceedee in the 2nd, Gibbs in the 3rd or Achane in the 13th. Any advice???

    Ok so don't handcuff your RBs....but do take other owners handcuffs? This makes no sense. If anything protecting your own top RB picks where it makes sense only makes your team more resilient and stronger.
