Citroen 2cv 1984 - 600cc Hot Start problems and coil change

- In this video I change the ignition coil on a Citroen 2CV 1984 600cc model.
The car had a misfire when running and wouldn't start when warmed up. I know there is a specific starting procedure for these cars and that was used when trying to start warm.

It all looks very corroded under the bonnet, I think it must have been subjected to a lot of humidity in the past, or near the coast, that can cause a lot of electrical contact problems, it would also be very much easier if you bought a set of spanners if you are going to embark on car repairs. It is insulation to keep the noise of the 2 cilinder engine down.

Jeeeeze, get yourself some spanners, I hate to see people butchering nuts and bolts with pliers. Interesting I have the same problem with my v-twin bike...

Hi, yes next time I am there I can do some engine stuff.
I had same problem! when i find problem before spent alot of money, because i thaght another problem, then i replaced new 60A battery, new feul pump, new spark plugs, 123ignition and starter moter. finaly i found ignition coil malfunction. ( T_T)

I have the same issue and have bought a new coil and ht leads but will fit tomorrow and fingers crossed it will fix it!
