This is crazy because the exact same thing happened to me. Only 1 run and tried to turn truck back on and same thing happened. I contacted horizon hobby and they sent me a new esc and new receiver. I replaced the receiver and truck started to run again.... didn’t replace the esc as yet but I may now because my low voltage cut off isn’t working and has never worked. Funny because I have a stock Arrma Mojave and took the receiver out of that and put into the Kraton 8s and that’s how I figured it was the receiver. Actually before calling horizon. There quality control is going down. I also had issues with the steering and took apart front end and was missing 4 bearings on a brand new 899.00 truck. Unacceptable! Hope you got it working. Thanks for letting me vent 👍🏾
Take it to your hobby shop. Ask them to switch transmitter and receiver. If they are horizo hobby dealer they can do the warranty for you. Regardless keep us updated, always learning.
I regret what happened esc. Do not install lipo batteries more than esc 160a capacity because it is within a maximum load limit of 16000 mah and the best for it is a total of two batteries in the range of 13000 mah so that esc works better and is comfortable.🌹😇
Mine's doing the same time. Shut off the controller, hold SET on it while you turn it back on. That's the only thing I can do with mine anyway. Binding it. It does not stay bound. I'm tired of being pissed at this point. Only 2 weeks old and I'm a super gentle driver. Coming from old nitros that would break before you hit the gas and it took 10 hours to repair it every time. Arrma is nice but not today.
What was the end result from this video? I am having the same exact problem except my receiver shows no signs off life. Speed controller turns on slinks red and that’s it.
@@jodyjoe757 As it turns out it was my Receiver that was bad. I took the receiver out of my felony and put in it and it worked fine. I contacted Horizon Hobbies and they sent me a new one. I had to show them the receipt for the car. Everything is done through Chat and email when dealing with them.
Turn the transmitter off, push the bind button on the transmitter and turn it on, it should be blinking green. It will connect in seconds. Hope this helps
This happened to my Talion. Unplug the servo. It’s a long shot. I just got 2 new esc’s they are beasts when working right. But I think from mass production they have build issues. Did you figure it out? Thanks!
try holding the blind bottom in for 3 seconds and the remote not so close to the car. And did you did your calibration on the remote that could be your problem they lose blind with each other?
I been going back and forth with horizon for months about 3 esc of mine that stopped working. I brought from Amazon I just want my stuff replaced but I will never buy spectrum again
Yoooo you da truth im havin the same prob got my son the 6s ran strong for months hit a mailbox fix everything got right back to it..........now 8s kraton im lookin bad five runs not lookin to good
I’ve had this w my xmaxx. I removed receiver sprayed with contact cleaner allow to dry and reinstall. I don’t know if this will work for you but is worth trying. My receiver got wet and a coating of road crap dried on receiver chip. Wasn’t visible but after spray and dry it worked again.
My granite 4x4 burnt out the motor within 3 days. Rc shop fixed it but wouldnt warranty the truck like they should have considering how much it cost me 4 the truck. I agree try your rcshop. Guaranteed frustration
Its your transmitter. I had the same symptoms and it happened after the first run. I installed a futaba receiver and binder it to my futaba remote. Problem solved. Trust me
This happened after I cleaned mine there was water in the reviver box and it was causing the receiver to go straight into bind mode I blew out the receiver with compressed air and it revived it
My servo went out in my outcast 6s exb then 2 seconds later my blx150a esc made the power up sound faintly before fading out. The ESC smelled like burnt electronics. I've emailed horizon hobby with no response yet. 🤞
Having the same problem. Do you have to send in the old one to Horizon? This blows...gives Arrma a bad name. Another thing is the battery voltage doesn’t even display on the tx. No green lights at all. It’s BS
i think its bs also having to email horizon a million times just to send the thing back and wait i dont think i shouldhave to pay after 10 minutes of running on first run i understand they are calling it used now i dont want to keep it now it fkn sucks!!
I’m surprised, they overnighted me 2 esc’s no questions asked. I complained Thursday and got them on sat. Try reaching out by email to Arrma. I think contacting horizon directly causes long wait time and you sometimes never hear from them! BS! Good luck!!!!

Your receiver is out thwt is the same thing has happened to me
I’m experiencing the same issue after 4 runs in dry conditions. I’ve been playing email tag with Horizon Hobby support and the issue is unresolved.
Same for me but they haven't responded yet.

You have to press bind button on receiver with radio off then hold bind on radio and then power up radio it should bind then you have to calibrate it
Where do I find the bind button on the car
@@Icantbelievethat420 - it's the little button next to the power button.

Do you use the smart batteries it will only show green lights if you use the smart batteries any other ones it won’t
I heard if you bang on the bottom of the ESC it supposedly works after a few bangs.
trun off the remote then hold power and blind button at the same time
Gotta check the receiver and your binding it all wrong 🤦🏾♂️
Pls give instructions or send link of vid I’m having problems too

Solution / Castle esc
Maxx6 is 160amp, max5 is 200amp
Was the esc flashing red light?
Your problem was esc calibration. Easy fix.
