- Welcome back to another video with FlyFishingWithJeff. On today's adventure I give you some sound advice and tips on kick fins to use with your float tube as well as some posture ideas to help you better navigate while in your float tube. Along the way we catch some bass and bluegill with my 2 wt on a pristine northwestern Wisconsin lake. If you haven't yet tried a float tube or are interested … there is no better time to get started then right now. If you have any fly fishing or float tubing questions … direct those to me at flyfishingwithjeff@gmail.com and I will get back to you.
Nice instructions. I will have to see if I can figure it out. Been out once in a float tube, and I was really great turning circles; going straight was a bit of a chore. But trout fishing for planters with a 3 weight is a kick! Thanks for the video.
Good to see you’re back out and getting after it! Catching bluegill on the fly is one of my favorite ways to catch any fish. 😁
Blaine,
Thanks for the view....yes, for sure, bluegills on a fly rod, particularly a smaller rod....is a blast! When they dig down and turn sideways, they are crazy efficient.....

Great video.
Thx for the view; enjoy the spring!

Great info on propelling & steering a float tube...thanks. I'm a newbie.
Heather.....there is nothing like experience when it comes to a float tube and kick fins. Truth is that I don't even have to think while I am out there....my legs just do what needs to be done. If you get in and start fishing, you will get more and more comfortable and what better way to fish that from a float tube!

@@jcarmichaelable today was my 3rd time out & your tips worked like a charm. I was moving along great and easily turning wherever I needed to go. I even landed a 22" smallmouth bass...sweet! So much fun!
Nice video my friend
Thx for the view!
