+Jacob Lucas i saw them at quebec 2 days ago and they were amazing !! they were opening for the the red hot chili peppers but god, they were better then them !
my thoughts exactly. i think because theyre considered more as an underground band. most toronto based stations play july talk and other canadian talents that are yet to be recognized
I just love the aggression in this song. There's such a hard edge to the arrangement-- drums, bass, the guitar, the lead male vocal, beautifully juxtaposed with the lead female vocal and the ambient sound backing her..... y'know?
So much energy, when they came here Leah pretended to piss on the stage with a water bottle. It was a WTF! kind of moment, but I didnt care because it just made sense. She also called out a guy next to me for him wearing shades, I was scared she pointed at me initially. Good times.
Damn straight, and most people have no idea what crazy fun that is. I used to do it in my old jeep, in a icy bottomed pond of tire deep water(and I have big tires). Spinning in fucking circles, water spraying everywhere, engine howling, laughing our asses off.
@@th3gr4v39 nah, I'm pretty sure it's because it's suppose to be cold, so ripped jeans are not usual winter clothes. You know, because there's literally holes in them
How are they not more well known? This is ridiculously good music and I'm shocked by the lack of response to it. Took me a second listen to really get into this song, but it was so worth it. I'm in love with it now.
@@puregameplay7916 then why are you here commenting on stuff from 5 years ago 😂 and I rarely listen to just straight rock music, so I’m not claiming it’s good rock. I just think it’s good music. Anyways, dude, it’s been 5 years. I think it’s safe to say you can move on with your life in peace.
@@samaxe1998 why does the date it was uploaded matter? I didnt even bother to look? I said the same thing on ALL july talk videos. They are ear cancer.
Bands like July Talk deserve more airplay and fame then what's hitting the billboard charts. I saw them live and they sounded amazing and came off as very humble artists who just wanted to play good music.
this was my dad new fav band before he passed around this time last year. he would have loved thee new tracks! can see us now sitting on the couch, beers in hand, bag of bud and just jammin to good tunes. this one for you dad!!

July talk is the only hope have left for rock: sounding like a different kind natural disaster each time and just say I can't wait till the apocalypse.
He reminds me of a cold winter's day in early Autumn. The kind you get when you wake up in the dead of summer swearing to God this is the last time you'll blame Victoria Day on last night's events. You know what I mean. We all have those afternoons two, maybe three times a day. Like this comment if you like cute little puppies - as pets of course, I don't want any likes from the 'I like eating cute little puppies' crowd. I don't agree with their stance on the environment or the arrogant way they dress.
Heard this so much when it released still baffles me that it wasn't bigger than some of the other radio songs. Great band that has many more great songs I loved.
heard this song on the radio n iv been searching and Googling it for months SOOO glad I finally found it!!! don't understand why this isn't more popular
There's a Mean Girls "hair is full of rock music secrets" meme waiting to happen here, since it seems shorter now at recent shows. And I say this with love because I actually dig the longer hair look.
I got to watch them for free on Canada Day in Halifax a couple years ago, simply amazing, they have such great chemistry on stage, go so many hot pictures.
Just watched July Talk live at the Centre in the Square in KW a week ago. Outstanding show and so blessedly welcome after almost 2 years of lockdown. Leah & Peter & the band are amazing! Incredibly talented and inspiring band!
July Talk is our family favorite band. My 5 year old rocks out on his way to boarding and knows all the words... singing along and rocking out. Seeing them live in Edmonton made me love them even more - I thought not possible!!! Completely outstanding performers, stage presence, interaction with the crowd (I think they saw me LMAO), and musical talent!!! Please keep doing what you love and sharing with us!
E P I C !! Saw them last night in Quebec City (they were playing before RHCP) and I'm completely MIND BLOWN! Can't wait for them to come back in October ! :)
Ashley Fleury Just started listening to them this weekend end and I was so sad to learn they were literally just in Saskatoon! Wish I'd heard of them a little sooner! :/
I had a chance to meet them. Didn't know them at the time. I heard them open for Metric and I am a fan now. Peter's voice is something special. I love his raw energy.

The dude lead singer is really good at looking completely fucking crazy.
Singing also.
He is some serious kind of hot!
Riot131313 That too.
I saw him live in Quebec City yesterday hahaha he is kinda fucked up !!
Gabriel Fortin-Gosselin Oh, I can imagine. Look at those eyes. Those eyes tell me that he wants my liver.
Still, they make awesome music.
+Jacob Lucas i saw them at quebec 2 days ago and they were amazing !! they were opening for the the red hot chili peppers but god, they were better then them !
Wowowowow. This dude's voice. Fuck you internet for hiding this on me.
pretty sure Peter is contractually obligated to smoke 3 packs a day to make his voice like that
Cavan Pollard with no filters lol
he sounds like an old black bues singer
YES Jordan Clark, THIS!
Pete D's raspy, dive bar baritone bark reminds me of Jim Morrison,. another little guy with a big voice.
How is this song not popular? One of my top favorite songs certainly.
is not? looks like it is xd just wait a bit :D
my thoughts exactly. i think because theyre considered more as an underground band. most toronto based stations play july talk and other canadian talents that are yet to be recognized
they're coming at festival de Québec the 16th of july! AWESOME
the fox in bc plays it. I'm here because of them actually!
almost all the local radio stations in vancouver play it several times per day
I did not expect that voice to come from that man.
And he's like 5 foot nothing, too
Their voices are the perfect combination
average night in Toronto
I just love the aggression in this song. There's such a hard edge to the arrangement-- drums, bass, the guitar, the lead male vocal, beautifully juxtaposed with the lead female vocal and the ambient sound backing her..... y'know?

Agreed. I see this in a lot in their music
Totally
Two very opposite sounding voices that go very well together
Dumme Effekthascherei
i have discovered this group now in the middle of this pandemic and i feel blessed
I loved them before I saw them live but seeing them live was just a life changing experience.
saw them today they're amazing
they lip sync?
Dave M No they don't. I'm really excited i'm going to see them again in Toronto during october.

Peter always has this look in his eyes like he hasn’t slept in weeks
Maybe because he hasn't, some famous people like to go the ultra natural look rather than looking fake with all the makeup...wake up already lol
Yes irssa mklayl love 10000
Thats because he hasn't lol
They fucking suck anyways lol absolute garbage
ugh peter is such a babe, none of there songs ever disappoint me.
I thought I was the only one that thought so 😩😍💕💋
hahaha he is so sexy i can barley handle it.

Tess Halpern *barely. Barley is a grain I believe haha. But dang someone will probably tell me otherwise.

Seems coincidental that this was all filmed in Canada, huh? - A Canadian UA-cam user
LOL Love that comment ........well said mate lol
So True
Joshua Cameron hmmmmmmm..... This Canadian seems spooked and decided to drive donuts as it's defence mechanism.
I actually really love the choreography in this video wow
His intensity transforms every track into pure venom. His addition makes the project so much stronger. He dominates and takes over.
You know your favourite rock band is Canadian when there's people in ripped jeans in the snow
Is that an insult?!

How are they not more well known? This is ridiculously good music and I'm shocked by the lack of response to it. Took me a second listen to really get into this song, but it was so worth it. I'm in love with it now.
Its because 90% of people who enjoy rock think that july talk is fucking GARBAGE, because they are. This is NOT good music.

this one for you dad!!
The lead singer is like a mix of Dane DeHaan and Steve Buscemi
A young Tom Waits.
Tom Waits is more like the joker. (or the other way around) in my opinion
You are all wrong. Look up Nick Cave he actively is influenced by his style and attitude.
and he looks like spoony.
He looks like harry styles. 😅
July Talk is and will always be one of my favorite bands. I will never get tired of their music.
I love these guys... seriously I'm so hyped for the album.
As a dancer, I enjoy watching the dance in this video
If you like this song...you gotta see em live. Just saw em at Kee to Bala on July 2nd...and WOW!
THEY ARE AMAZING LIVE!!!!! Peter's voice is sooooo infactuation
Yeah, they blew away all my expectations! Great show.
Saw them in Columbus, Ohio with Nothing but Thieves... great show!
Saw them a few years back, had a bit of a staring contest with Leah, it was great.

That voice on Dreimanis...jeesus. How is this not in the charts?
WHy did the internet hide this from me.
Watching Bon Cop Bad Cop 2 was what enlightened me to this song, personally.
Because Google's American
Because the government likes to oppress opinions, and ideas which is why they don't like people, like me.

Not the only hope - lol
Ahmen.
Okay but Dilly Dally.
The lead singer reminds me of 'Roman' from Hemlock Grove
Miss J XO he reminds me of IT
both characters were played by the same actor: Bill Scardsgard

He reminds me of the new Charles Xavier in terms of appearance.
