When you said that you were going to swatch all your inks, my eyes bugged out (should have bugged when I read the title). I sort of did a count of mine and came out with 300-400. I forgot that not everyone is as obssesive as I've been. Have decided to use up samples until they're gone rather than put a new ink every time I run out in a pen.
Hi, Karyna! New sub here, and a fellow Filipina (from Manila). This was such a great (and therapeutic) exercise. Your videos have been helpful in my fountain pen journey last year-thank you. Looking forward to more. Also, you've convinced me to get the Estie in Nouveau Bleu this year with another journaler nib (my absolute favorite grind) to add to my three other Esties with the journaler (Botanical Garden), techo (Punch), and scribe (Petrified Forest). I agree with you-they're just the best in aesthetics and comfort level. 😝 Happy new year! Cheers! 🥂
Thank you for doing this! I love seeing your collection and swatching is so therapeutic. Who knew watching ink (paint) dry was such a good time?? Happy new year!
Ahhhhhh, this is so, so satisfying to watch. I am seriously thinking about starting an ink journal just for the therapeutic vibe this whole video gave me!
OMG Karyna, this had to have taken such a long time to do and film! And the after voice overs XD but amazing, so many inks! I’ll need to do a big swatch of all my inks but I still have a good batch left I haven’t swatched into my binder yet! Also need to put circles with the color like you did so I don’t have to lift up every single ink just to see the name on my 50 vial trays lol
Hello Karyna, happy new year! Your video is very helpful and looks so pretty. I'm (already) done with shimmer inks and so I took a lot of non-shimmers from your video for my wishlist. And the "pilot-ink-stamp" is cute ☺️
Loved watching how you created your journal. Im sorry if I missed this. How many pages does the notebook have? Did you leave an empty page after each swatched page? Thank you! I look forward to seeing how you further fill this journal 😊
Awesome collection! I have gone overboard this past year so my collection is more massive than I realized 😅 I'm going to be doing a "current collection" swatch-ventory over the next few days so this was great to watch for inspiration! Do you still glue the blank pages together so there isn't bleedthrough on the swatch pages like in your previous galen leather notebook? Just curious 😊
I did not glue the pages together like in the previous notebook. I find it more satisfying this way, skipping a couple of pages to prevent shadow/bleedthrough. And going through your collection is always so satisfying!
BPC has been on my list of brands to try for a while now. That Basil Pesto color looks so amazing! I bought Anderillium's Tolype Moth Warm after watching one of your swatching videos and really enjoy it. 🙂 Also, I didn't think I would be an enjoyed of brown inks as well lol. But now quite a decent amount of my collection is browns! 😅
@@KarynaLovesToPlan I never realized how much variety browns have and just how much a different undertone can really give it a different feel lol. Luckily there is a stationery shop I can order a sample from! As a fellow Canadian I can't ship from BPC directly unfortunately. 😓
Did I understand correctly that you have Tomoe River paper in that last binder you showed? If so, how does it hold up to being punched? I've thought about doing something like that for a transcribing project, but wasn't sure because the paper is so thin.
I would recommend trying in the Estie. A bigger nib and probably a better feed than the Kaweco Sport. I can understand the hesitation but I put shimmer inks in my Esties and other Jowo nib pens and they are easy to clean out! Good luck!

This was so helpful. So many inks I added to my ‘get samples asap’ list 😂. What size speedball nib are you using? I think this method would be perfect for the stamp I use for swatches.
@@KarynaLovesToPlan Thank you again! You have been a huge inspiration as I start my fountain pen journey (recently feel down the rabbit hole - haha). I used your 15% of code for Atlas and grab all my swatching stuff 👏🏻😂

I love the homemade ink stamp. Wish I could have one!
A friend made it for me as a one off! 😊

Right?! So fun watching it dry! 😁
You have immaculate tastes in ink! I am just starting my journey and there wasn't one that I didn't like! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much!

I highly recommend it - I found the whole process so enjoyable!
Thank you so much for sharing your inks with us. You gave me some ideas, and I'm headed off to start shopping. :)
Have fun!
Of the Birmingham Pen Co inks, I really like Pennsylvania Fieldstone and Herron. I currently have Heron in an Opus 88.
Yes both are amazing!
Awesome long video to end the year. Thank you!!!! ❤️😘🤗🤗🤗
Happy new year!!
Happy new year!! Thank you for all your support this year! 🥰
Brown inks are my jam
Yes!! It’s amazing how many types of brown inks there are.
I just inked up my vintage burgundy Montblanc 22 with FWP Oyster Hour. So gorgeous. So satisfying.
Sounds great! I need to ink up Oyster Hour again!

Happy New Year Karyna!!! You have inspired me to now go and organise swatchings of my ink collection 😅 and to try some Birmingham Co. inks.
Happy New Year, Katie! I cannot wait to see your whole ink collection!

Hello! This notebook has 400 pages of Tomoe River Paper, and yes I did leave an empty page after each swatched page. Thanks for watching!
My favorite Iroshizuku inks are Ku-Jaku, Asa-Gao, and Yama-Budo, but there are many others I really like.
Ooh those are all lovely!
I just got into this hobby, and Iroshizuku syo-ro is my very first ink.... first of many im sure
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you!
TWSBI Go/swipe is an easy pen to clean. 😉
Yes! My husband has the Go and it is so easy to clean!
I love those wearinguel cat swatch cards…

@@KarynaLovesToPlan That's actually where I'm getting it from! I met the owners of the store at Scriptus in Toronto and they are very sweet.

Yes that’s right! It holds up really well, and while the paper is thin, it holds up well to the ink and the whole punching and stamping too!
May i know those nibs or pens what its called that u use in swatching the inks thanks
One is the Kakimori brass nib which is on a River City Pen Company nib holder. The other is a Speedball B nib which comes in a set.
I can't believe no one has asked yet...but where did you get that ink sample holder? 😍
It is from @fountainpendulum which I included in the description!
Well look at me being all unobservent. 😅
Thank you for letting me know!
Thanks again for that link! I just purchased their modular holder, which it looks like you also have. How have you been liking it?

Goldspot Pens has Aphrodite Pink, but I'm guessing you're looking for a Canadian stockist.
Ooh… 👀👀
WHAT I WOULD DO FOR A SAMPLE OF THAT LADY ROSE IN GOLD 😭😭😭
It is beautiful, but the writing experience isn't great, unfortunately!
@@KarynaLovesToPlan oh no! That’s depressing 🤣
When 1.5x playback becomes essential. I would probably take a couple hours if I tackled this ink challenge myself.
Totally agree! Filming this took a few separate sessions over the course of a week! If this was in real time, it could be 2-3hrs long! 😅
No Waterman, Parker, Aurora, Platinum, Sheaffer, Montblanc inks? Nevertheless, I've enjoyed the video a lot.
None - never felt the urge to try them.
