Always had a soft spot for the V10 TFSI, this is a cracking example. It’s amazing how tall the gears are on the old 6 speed box. Would have loved to seen it paired with an 8 speed.
The 5 G 722.6 has very long gears also. But the AMGs it's fitted have more stock torque than this RS6 so it's not an issue. The ZF 6 speed is also prone to failure in this application.
@@ahemgee9542 you have to be a bit more specific with saying they have issues, I’ve never experienced issues with this gearbox even with a remap.. I’ve seen people use this gearbox with 1000+hp and it seems to work fine

Wow, this car is hugely impressive. It doesn't seem to perform like a car that is 14 years old. Everything works with such consistency and in harmony that it could pass off as a brand new car. 100 to 200 kmh in less than 7 seconds is remarkable too! What a beautiful car! I love it!
To me, it is so satisfying to see, how smoothly those gears were shifting automatically. Automatic transmission is a blessing to be comfortable and easy during driving a high-power car without losing focus on the road.

The new c8 is just ugly as f. Long gone the elegance and simplicity in a fat and fast station wagon. Actually "tuning" the engine (ehem, releasing its potential) makes the car crazy and not overpowered for the rest of the cars parts. Truly an amazing machine. One day it will be far more valuable than the c7 and let's not talk about the c8 which is going to be the cheapest out of them all
If people can mate a E92 7-speed DCT to a w203 C32 AMG then there has to be a way to attach the C7’s fast shifting 8-speed to a C6. I would really like to see what a C6 RS6 could do with that transmission

Sounds like the old Skool Urs4/Urs6 Inline 5. Someone at Audi welded two AAN engines together! I will never forget the sound of the 5 cylinder! Even a car of that era with same horsepower would keep up with this car!😉
On upshifts, the engine seems to be making an unusually deep growling sound. Or, is that due to the exhaust and the camera recording equipment? In any case, this is the RS6 to own!

I would call this a semi-sleeper, even if you de-badge it the box arches and the stance rather gives it away. Nevermind if you hear the thing. But, with the exhaust valves closed, most folks won't really notice or care, and you'll likely have other less informed enthusiasts wildly underestimating it's performance. Usually with a sleeper, the car can't look like anything at all on the outside. If it was a completely stock looking A6 with that engine and that performance, THEN it would be a true blue sleeper.
Why spend double on a Lambo that you look like a knob in and drive it barley when you can have the same engine and pickup the kids daily and basically 70% of people wouldn't even notice the V10
We were back from our roundtrip of Italy through Germany, just to see what our Audi A4 Avant Quattro could do on the bahn - 257, and 238 according to Waze! That's with 4 people and their luggage. with a stock 2.0T and 194kW

One of the best engines V10 TFSI easily lifts power above 1000+ hp. It has a magnificent gearbox 6 gears that can go above 350+kmh speed.

You can attach any trans with the right skills , if it handles the power obviously

To be honest this transmission seems to shift quite quick. I believe its a ZF6HP28 so decent enough they can also take up to 1000Nm.
