The RS6 V10 sedan is one of my dream cars
That v10 is such a sick engine, love it. too bad the topspeed blast was dashcam only and not driver cam.
Always had a soft spot for the V10 TFSI, this is a cracking example. It’s amazing how tall the gears are on the old 6 speed box. Would have loved to seen it paired with an 8 speed.
The 5 G 722.6 has very long gears also. But the AMGs it's fitted have more stock torque than this RS6 so it's not an issue.
The ZF 6 speed is also prone to failure in this application.
@@ahemgee9542 haven’t really had issues with this gearbox, what do you mean by prone to fail?
@@r35spectgt-r84 the C5 and C6 frequently suffer from problems with their respective ZF gearboxes .
@@ahemgee9542 you have to be a bit more specific with saying they have issues, I’ve never experienced issues with this gearbox even with a remap.. I’ve seen people use this gearbox with 1000+hp and it seems to work fine
@@r35spectgt-r84 not referring to the 8 speed ZF. It's the 5/6 speed in the C5/6. Slipping in gear, Hunting/ not shifting into gear > gears splitting . Common weak point on the car look it up. Just because you have fortunately not experienced it, doesn't mean it's not a relatively common issue.
timeless looking car....that engine is insane and the sound...holy cow
One of the best engines V10 TFSI easily lifts power above 1000+ hp. It has a magnificent gearbox 6 gears that can go above 350+kmh speed.

Wow, this car is hugely impressive. It doesn't seem to perform like a car that is 14 years old. Everything works with such consistency and in harmony that it could pass off as a brand new car. 100 to 200 kmh in less than 7 seconds is remarkable too! What a beautiful car! I love it!

To me, it is so satisfying to see, how smoothly those gears were shifting automatically. Automatic transmission is a blessing to be comfortable and easy during driving a high-power car without losing focus on the road.
An RS6 V10 Sedan is one of my dream cars. I found one in blue on blue alcantara and it looks absolutely jawdropping.

If people can mate a E92 7-speed DCT to a w203 C32 AMG then there has to be a way to attach the C7’s fast shifting 8-speed to a C6. I would really like to see what a C6 RS6 could do with that transmission
You can attach any trans with the right skills , if it handles the power obviously

To be honest this transmission seems to shift quite quick. I believe its a ZF6HP28 so decent enough they can also take up to 1000Nm.
@@RealGX It doesn’t look as slow as I remember indeed but I imagine closer ratios could still make it faster on top of the shift speed. In carwow RS6 rolling race, it managed to hang in there with C7 and C8 before it had to shift.
@@MarkVinewood The TCU has been tuned for sure. But I agree a newer ZF8HP would be better.

The last elegant audi. This was peak VAG. Brutal car that stock did 320kmh with no limiter. The c7 was a watered down version as it improved the car in every single way except looks. The new c8 is just ugly as f. Long gone the elegance and simplicity in a fat and fast station wagon.
Actually "tuning" the engine (ehem, releasing its potential) makes the car crazy and not overpowered for the rest of the cars parts. Truly an amazing machine. One day it will be far more valuable than the c7 and let's not talk about the c8 which is going to be the cheapest out of them all

On upshifts, the engine seems to be making an unusually deep growling sound. Or, is that due to the exhaust and the camera recording equipment? In any case, this is the RS6 to own!

@@Jens_Roadster Yeah but if you de badge it, it’s going to look like a normal a6. That’s when it’s truly a sleeper car, but even as it is, it’s still a sleeper car just because of how normal it looks.
I would call this a semi-sleeper, even if you de-badge it the box arches and the stance rather gives it away. Nevermind if you hear the thing. But, with the exhaust valves closed, most folks won't really notice or care, and you'll likely have other less informed enthusiasts wildly underestimating it's performance.
Usually with a sleeper, the car can't look like anything at all on the outside. If it was a completely stock looking A6 with that engine and that performance, THEN it would be a true blue sleeper.
