- Hi guys. Today we'll delve into the case of a girl, who went out for a walk with her friend and disappeared without a trace. Dozens of police officers and concerned residents joined the search, but they couldn't find her. Shortly after, strange events began to unfold: an unknown person started leaving messages for the police all over the city, claiming involvement in the girl's disappearance. With each message, he provided clues that could lead to him. But despite all this, his identity remained unknown, and the sad truth was only discovered 30 years later.

Dude he drove exactly this truck, lived only a few miles away and they didn't find him for 30 years? Pathetic.
imagine this guy spending that entire time just waiting and waiting and waiting
Inept & lackadaisical 😭🤮
yah, they didnt do the job...:( poor child.
totally different time era... There was no DNA back then like there is today!
@@Tamdem72 Trucks don't have DNA! How many times do you think people drove by this guy's powder blue truck and went 'that's the same kinda truck driven by that guy that killed that April girl, small world. I wonder who did it...."
He should have been arrested for looking like a s** offender, the guy doesn't look right
The poor child having that horrific sight as the last thing she saw. Can't help thinking they didn't look too hard for the truck though.
He looked like something out of the hills have eyes
What in the world did the prosecutor get out of that deal? Loser already confessed and the DNA leaves no doubt, so you don't need to make concessions because he pleads not guilty! WTF?
I was asking myself the same thing, maybe the prosecutor was corrupt coz it makes no sense being given a deal with such big evidence.
What a dirty mindset this man had..
In his younger picture, he looks like simple Jack from the movie Tropic Thunder
Wow! Great work by the detectives.
How many others did he kill?
I think he was in 'Deliverance' wasn't he?
If there was ever anyone who looked liked they did the things this guy did, it's this guy.
I didn't get it
@@andrew285 I left out looked. Oops
@@tonyjohnson8752 I don't get the sentence..
why would a mother let a child that young on her own outside the house , who in the right mind think that one day someone going to be stalking the times etc , my kids will wait until they knowingly aware of dangers being alone .
it was a different time
@@Lauren-bd2fr no excuses for being a parent.
No Lauren is right is was a different time back then. We raised ourselves basically or siblings raised us. She was with a friend and that was safe enough back then.
🙄 ok Mary Poppins
The 70's and early 80's were very different. It's hard to understand if you didnt grow up during that time.
He should've never been offered a plea deal, April didn't get her pleas heard
Imagine allowing your baby to roam the streets without adult supervision. It is unimaginable to me.
💔
Kids in the 80s roamed the street en masse. It was the norm, running between friends and playgrounds.
We did it all the time in the 80s. Myself, my sisters. On our bikes, walking, whatever. We had no knowledge of the evils of the world, and we wouldn't have cared.
@@nateroseman . I won't comment, because you wouldn't appreciate it.
@@jeanettehinds4253 thank you for knowing what I want. It makes my life easier when I don't have to think about those things
So is this video meant to showcase that police department by putting photos of the cops and their names? Did they pay for this or what?
Great content bro 👍
What circumstances linked the FBI to this case? It seems like a State case.
Child kidnapping and murder concerns the FBI. Look it up.
Nah, kidnapping brings in the Fibbies even if they don't know if the victim was taken across state lines or not.
Kidnapping of a child automatically becomes the case for the FBI.
Kidnapping is always a FBI case!
Poor little girl 😢, I've got a Bumblelion, what is it with these s a's/ murderers? She was born the same year as my son... this is so heartbreaking, she must have been petrified... rip April 😭 xx
The mind set of the killer makes me want to puke.
I can’t imagine what goes on in their mindset.
“They saw no trauma to her body initially, but still thought it was a homicide.” Asphyxiation causes trauma, and signs. It would not be hard to see. I don’t get why they couldn’t…
why show the letter then say it says something blatantly different. i can read, dude.
this annoyed me so much i blocked the channel. get your shit together.
Not every note is publicly available, so there are simply no photos of others. And in the existing notes, i had to censor some things because of UA-cam
@@TimeOfCrime nope, watch the video again. i wont bother, but there are large chunks of normal words that are changed in the voiceover.
@@rchristopher9760 OMG chill out!! Move along if you don't like it why so damn rude??????? SMH
In the beginning of the letter it says hello phoenix something like that. And not just hello.
He us just a human Monster. The Mother didn’t deserve her lovely daughter. I stand for the little girl, so abandoned after all...
How can men.do these this its just awful
Women do it too😢
@kimlarso yeah but it's so incredibly rare in comparison compared to men so much so that it tends to make headlines and cause so much more outrage when it does happen. Look at the statistics there's no denying facts. And by always ignoring the elephant in the room it never gets properly discussed (because everyone is too scared of hurting men's feelings and the blacklash it would cause )
Why the fuck was a kid that young out on her own anyway.....
@17:00 - 80 year prison sentence. eligibility for parole in 2058. at the age of 99 ? he doesn't look 19 to me
The parole is after 40years. The sentence is 80 years.
A few hundred yards away is several football fields away. That’s a long distance!
He was just an attention seeker. He couldn’t find attention in any other way!
The bed cover looks to be a knitted yarn cover.
Maybe he's the Circleville letter writer
Why did they take so long to solve it there where other innocent girls killed and the same truck hope his rotting in jail and getting bashed RiP to Rose and all the other victims ❤❤❤❤
This sad and and wrong
