The show is amazing, the art is amazing, but this girl, is useless to the story, there is not a single reason why she should be in the series, except for romance reasons, that is my only complaint about the show.
The anime is the adaptation of an otome game, so obviously the girl should be there. Also, she's the only reason the guys survive and get a meaning to stay alive in their respective routes.
I watched this show as well and I agree with you the girl is bloody useless, she's a demon but doesn't use her powers. but if its the way the story has been written then oh well.
