I forgot to mention that the resin I use is slightly felixible. Alumilite 65D Alumilite Slow Set 7 Alumilite Amazing Casting Resin They are all slightly flexible. That's why I can pop the neck extender on & off so easily.
Man that is awesome wish I had an airbrush kit to do that to my open hordak from origins I just don’t like the blue or his head. You did an amazing job!
I use the cheap paint you get at Walmart for 54 cents a bottle. Apple Barrel or Folkart. Yes, I always airbrush. Hand brushing is a huge no-no! Hand brushing only works for tiny places that won't show brush strokes. The most important thing is hitting it with a coat of Krylon Crystal Clear first. Then airbrush the color, usually 3 coats, then seal it all in with Krylon Crystal Clear gloss or matte finish.
@@sci-fi.tsunami I used to use the Testors acrylics until they discontinued them. I've been trying different brands with not much success. I had paint mine with lots of dry brushing.
@@somarriba333 Discontinued? I didn't know that. I love the Testors acrylic. I still have some, I mostly use the black & silver. They stick to plastic pretty well. I also like Createx airbrush paints. The first coat of Krylon Crystal Clear usually makes any paint stick really well. I never paint without that 1st coat of Crystal Clear.
