  • Six weeks ago, I had the life-changing experience of an all-natural home birth. It was an unforgettable rite of passage, and today I want to share how it all happened.
(Any questions for Chloe? Contact her directly at: www.chloedunn.com/contact.html)
With this positive story I hope to help spread the message that a natural birth can be totally positive.
I had to listen to way too many negative birth stories during my pregnancy, so I'd just like to spread a little positivity now that I've experienced my joyous home birth!
Enjoy - and let us know in the comments what other videos on birthing you'd like to see,

This has not nearly enough likes for its positive content. Why don't more people know that it's POSSIBLE to have a baby this way?

    • @VeggieMagnifique

Thank you! Because there's a whole "business" around "being born," and so people think that pregnancy is a "medical issue" instead of a natural thing. We just need to re-empower more women and couples. 💙

You are the first person I have ever heard say I was speaking in tongues at one point. That was my exact experience with my second birth as soon as I hit transition. It was amazing. Thank you for sharing.

Homebirth isn't supported here in the states either, I was reported to child services by the hospital for attempting a home birth, and apparently that is bad parenting here. I do not agree. God bless you for sharing your story!

I'm so glad I found your video, I think we have the same midwife . I live in the south west of France and our midwife is Chantal , you mentionned several things that made me think it could be Chantal who is such a lovely lady , i'm due 12th of october for my first birth :)

During delivery, I had this urge to sit up or squat but they, at the hospital, just wouldn’t let me. The nurse even told me “the only way you’re gonna have this baby is by lying down”

I am so so sorry, Saima. *sigh* It's just so sad what happens sometimes in hospitals.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful and inspiring experience. ❤️🙏🏻. I do have a question: for how long did you keep the umbilical cord intact? I read that it's best not to cut it and just let it basically dry out and fall off on its own. And yes please, tell us more 😊.

    • @VeggieMagnifique
      @VeggieMagnifique  7 років тому +2

SoniaRose / thank you for your comment 🙏✨. And great question - we left it until it stopped pulsating. I'm not sure how long that was because I was a bit overwhelmed! But yes, it's important not to clamp it straight away like they do in hospital, so that the baby can receive his stem cells and the last few drops of nutrition

I know it's been almost two year, but have you end up doing a video on the preparation that you've done for a home birth? Your videos are absolutely fantastic I should say. I wish I could put five 'likes' instead on one!

Thank you so so much, Annetta!!! (Sending you 5 thank yous, then. ❤) Chloe is now focusing on parenting and other projects, but definitely look into Ina May Gaskin, Alicia Silverstone's "The Kind Mama" and Hypnobirthing! Hope that helps! Sending you lots of love.

Hello Living Wild - Chloe took Sunday Natural’s vitamin D ‘special grossesse & allaitement’, Dr Groupe’s Iodine, a few different brands of B12 on rotation, EPA DHA. Also, to keep in mind - no need to take folic acid (vit B 9) IF you’re eating a healthy vegan diet -- veggies (leafy greens) and grains. That'll have you covered. (Folic acid pills are chemical-y.) Hope that helps!
