That was mind blowing. I want to house sit for you, with permission to use your supplies! That W&N aqua brush in the art box is my favourite aqua brush. Those things are awesome. I struggle to print PDFs through my Pinter. It won’t take heavy paper, card stock is not good. I can get toned tan through. With that in mind do you have any recommendations for paper that’s great for pencils? And one for markers? I hope you get your taste and smell back for Christmas. And loose the fatigue. It’s a horrible virus.
I know that you have said that you might cut back on swatching videos...I actually really enjoy them and would love for them to continue. I like to swatch along (even if it is another brand/medium) and it is actually relaxing to me. I like to see the color ranges and first impressions (knowing that it is not a full review). I know that they can seem long to some but maybe a timestamp in the description for the end recap and final swatch sheet might help those people. I understand if you do decide to cut back but the swatching videos have really helped me to decide which sets might be added to my amazon coloring wish list lol. Thank you for all of your videos I love them!

Oh let's make art isn't always liquid. I got some Sennelier tubes from them once too. The tutorial is free though, and that's where I'm like then what did I pay for?

No no, you must order from the same store. I typically will do an order from either chill and sarah or CoolCraftBooks on Etsy so that I save on shipping by ordering 3 or more books from that same store.
Hi. I had those Kaiser craft gel pens and was disappointed for the price I paid when they got air bubbles in them and stopped working. My cheap no name brand of gel pens are still working great. That beautiful water flower pencil case I put all my water color pencils in there.
Those Kaisercraft pens are awesome, but they don't last long. I love them...but rarely color with them because I don't I don't want them to run out. The Milky Pops are TOTALLY RAD on Black paper!! Punters Sparkle Pops are DEVINE!!

I am going to "guess" that the stock is older - Kaiserkraft is predominantly a Scrapbooking company and their venture into Adult Coloring was not so successful. I bought my Gel Pens YEARS ago, and admittedly have not used them in a long time. But when they were NEW, they were so creamy and smooth!! I did notice (like you) that the ink levels varied by colors....and they are very thin. I was very grateful that I got them on sale for 50% off at the time. Oh, and I didn't really care for the Kaiserkraft Coloring Books either.
I generally don't like pastel pencils, but when you showed the castle arts one, it dawned on me they would make excellent 'glow' colors. I may have to rethink my stance on pastels. ;)
Neons under a soft layer of color makes the color glow. But, as you know using yellow neon under red will change your end product same applies so like pink under red etc. I am sure you know this though.
Hey Kori. Be careful with those Kieser (sp?) color pens. If you blink at them wrong, the tips break right off. Maybe not all sets, but mine did. I have every glitter pen on the planet, some work, some don't. I had to tap the Kieser quite a bit to get them to do what they are supposed to do, you know, flow. The ones that did were pretty. They don't last very long, maybe one mandala if you use it a lot. I am on the hunt for the perfect glitter pen. So far ColorIt wins. Speaking of ColorIt, Amazon had them on "sale". Problem was, they were marked way up to bring them down to what they usually cost. I have 3 or 4 sets and never paid more than $21.00. What a racket, huh? Super great haul! Looking forward to swatches and reviews! (Yay, another puppy! You are going to have to buy a trailer for all those lint rollers you are going to need lol!) Cas

I got the Staedtler pastel set at the beginning of the month. Well, actually I got the full set of them which includes the pastel colours. But because my daughter will get that set for Christmas as well, I have only swatched them so far. I’d love to hear your thoughts on them and how they compare to other pastel pencils you have. I might have rivaled you with what I bought this week alone😮 way too much! That said, I love all your videos and I also enjoy swatching and hearing your first impressions. Like the Museum Aquarelle, just your reaction convinced me that these or the Supracolors are the ones for me. I don’t want muted colors. I want my colors to pop off the page. The one thing that sticks out for me are the Castle Arts Gold pencils. I searched Amazon US AND CA but no sign of these pencils. I’m DYING to know the difference between those pencils and my Castle Arts that I own and love to use for details since I don’t mind sharpening my pencils like crazy rather than the more expensive Prismacolors which I will not use if I have to sharpen them every minute. I will be trying Supracolor this month to see what I like better and then probably do a comparison. So the Castle Art Golds are oil-based, while regular Castle Arts are wax-based. That's the difference.
I cancelled Let's Make Art years ago because the videos were on UA-cam for free. I did just buy from their Black Friday sale though - which was a buy one get one free - so the boxes came out to be $22.50 each and they gave a free gift. Hopefully I'll feel like they are worth that price. I'll see.

I was waiting for the new dragon pencils but I saw those for under 20 dollars and had to buy them. I will order the Dragon ones after Christmas. As the Pastel gel pens, both sets are nice but like white gel pens they do dry out more quickly than other gel pens so use them and enjoy them. The milky pop will cover black lines in coloring books if you like to do that at all. The kiaser craft have a fine tip so they are good to get in small spaces.
Yes, I like that the milky pop cover white lines. I took the white and I'm going to use it to white out pieces of pages I don't like. It works better than the posca.

I think you will find the pretty colored pastel pens by Kaiser are worthless. I could barely get them flowing. The Pentel Milky Pop are fantastic. They also have Sparkle Pop (my favorite gel pens ever) and Solar Pop. I think you'll like them. Uh oh, did I just feed your "completers syndrome" by telling you there are more? Sorry! I suffer from the same affliction. 💜
So far mine have been flowing really well, so that is very odd. I looked at Solar Pop, but I'm not super big on neon haha. That said, I did already order Sparkle Pop from a Black Friday sale!

I have seen a few vids featuring subscription art boxes and they all seem to be "not worth the money" to me. I get that some art UA-camrs order them to provide content for their channels, but I don't see how they wld be beneficial to anyone else. All the products from these boxes seem low quality, no-name, underwhelming and/or redundant. That one canceled box with the Neocolors was BY FAR the best I've seen from these subscription services. Better to just save up your money & get the products you really want, IMO.
Hmmm I definitely can't say I have received low-budget, no name products. I mean my recent batches had Winsor & Newton in one and the other had like 5 Copic markers (which isn't cheap). I can't speak for others, but I def don't subscribe just for content for my channel (I forget half the time to even do them on camera lol). I wanted to use them as a way to test out/explore other items out there before buying the bigger sets.
I use them all of the time and even have an alphabet challenge every month to use supplies by the corresponding letter in the alphabet. Anything I don't use I give away to family/friends getting into coloring. I think if you watch my channel you'd see I'm not wasteful with what I buy.
It's easy to use all your supplies when you a ) have a dedicated channel to colouring and b ) Kori uses every single thing she buys and that is evident in her videos. If you cannot watch don't watch but you might learn something by sticking around .

Yes, I watch Emma. I have my own watercolor channel too -- so watercolor content isn't mixed with adult coloring here.

So the ones from the UK are really hard because they take forever to get here and by then, I can't participate in the challenges. I did try Scrawlr and didn't like it, but I haven't tried Upcrate.

The Dandelion watercolors have issues with lightfastness….
I mean I'm not worried about lightfastness for most of what I do, but I just wasn't impressed with what they sent.

I use the Hammermill paper. It looks like it is out of stock, but it is the 80 pound, 250 sheets, 100 bright premium color copy. Right now they only have the box of it in stock. amzn.to/3ooE0l3

As someone who have the DS Swatch pages, for best result, swatch on a different paper. Their paints are amazing but that paper isn't!

I think you will find the pretty colored pastel pens by Kaiser are worthless. I could barely get them flowing. The Pentel Milky Pop are fantastic. They also have Sparkle Pop (my favorite gel pens ever) and Solar Pop. I think you'll like them. Uh oh, did I just feed your "completers syndrome" by telling you there are more? Sorry! I suffer from the same affliction. 💜
So far mine have been flowing really well, so that is very odd. I looked at Solar Pop, but I'm not super big on neon haha. That said, I did already order Sparkle Pop from a Black Friday sale!

I have seen a few vids featuring subscription art boxes and they all seem to be "not worth the money" to me. I get that some art UA-camrs order them to provide content for their channels, but I don't see how they wld be beneficial to anyone else. All the products from these boxes seem low quality, no-name, underwhelming and/or redundant. That one canceled box with the Neocolors was BY FAR the best I've seen from these subscription services. Better to just save up your money & get the products you really want, IMO.
Hmmm I definitely can't say I have received low-budget, no name products. I mean my recent batches had Winsor & Newton in one and the other had like 5 Copic markers (which isn't cheap). I can't speak for others, but I def don't subscribe just for content for my channel (I forget half the time to even do them on camera lol). I wanted to use them as a way to test out/explore other items out there before buying the bigger sets.

How on Earth do you think you'll use all those supplies....I just can't watch anymore
I use them all of the time and even have an alphabet challenge every month to use supplies by the corresponding letter in the alphabet. Anything I don't use I give away to family/friends getting into coloring. I think if you watch my channel you'd see I'm not wasteful with what I buy.
It's easy to use all your supplies when you a ) have a dedicated channel to colouring and b ) Kori uses every single thing she buys and that is evident in her videos.
If you cannot watch don't watch but you might learn something by sticking around .
