This was great. Scrivener will do so much that everyone figures out different things and interesting ways to use them. I know I underutilize search for sure.
Yeah, a bit of a Swiss army knife-style program, which is sadly what turns some people off. But if one can get past that initial learning curve, it's great.
I have two favorite features: scrivenings, so I can see and edit all the scenes in one pane, and being able rearrange at will, rather than being locked into the program or operating systems' ordering/sorting methods. Those two features keep me in Scrivener even when I get frustrated with other aspects of it, like being effectively restricted to Dropbox for syncing (and sync errors even rhen).
Hi. Thanks for the video. Very clarifying even for someone (like me) who has used Scrivener over many years. I just wondered why you guys are lamenting having to use Dropbox to share your Scrivener files between devices. I don't use Dropbox at all. I might be missing something but I simply save my Scrivener files to iCloud. Whenever I access the iCloud from any of my Apple devices that have Scrivener installed, double clicking the project opens Scrivener on my device and away we go!
@@usodoff2111 For me, it's that I use Scrivener on my Macbook, my iPad, *and* the Windows version on my PC, which is tough with icloud. Mostly I'm personally grousing because I'm always annoyed when I feel artificially limited. I want the choice to easily use my own personal cloud on my NAS or even Google Drive if I want.
I can't wait for the compile video. Also, wish I had an iPad lol.
Спасибо за очень полезное, познавательное видео.
You're very welcome!

Thanks for the video! Did you run into any issues with dropbox in your time using scrivener?

I definitely love the scrivenings view. So useful.
