Jonassen is coaching the Danish players nowadays. In fact he was sitting at the sideline when Axelsen won the WC this year.

Anupam Gatta He's big part of the reason for Axelsen's success and the revival of Danish badminton, winning Thomas cup in 2016 with the Danish men. Best coach in badminton today and was named the best coach across all sports in Denmark in 2017.

If you looked closer how Kenneth play, you know professional badminton is not for everyone. I don't know where he learned and who was his coach. In fact, he doesn't smash in proper forehand motion, more of snap at the shuttle. He mostly using powerplay because they are just physical strong build but that doesn't make you a good player. This is not tennis or weight lifting. I would say he only can teach/coach Axelsen tactics, not on skill training as he himself doesn't have that quality. Other retired player will be Peter Gade be able to do both skill and tactics...............Just looked at how the French national team improved in the last two years after Peter became their national coach.
