  • Hi everyone!
This is my audition experience at DSL. I hope you find this helpful!
They have 3 stages in one day, then tell you the outcome at the end of their time brackets (This is on their website)
I found that this was one of the most helpful auditions due to their feedback in the interview stage.
If you enjoyed this video and found it useful, please give me a thumbs up to let me know :D

I know this video is a few years old now, but I was curious about when they made you read from a script in a group of 3. What type of text did they ask you to perform? Is it easier text because you’ve only a few minutes to rehearse, or was it something more challenging?

Thanks for this! I'm thinking of applying at some point so this wash helpful. Which school did you end up going to? How do you like it?

      Youre so welcome! Good luck!
in the end, i got into a university equivalent to drama school and so far im loving it :D You have to go to a place that's right for you, and feels right. Even if you get offers from a few places, go to the one that feels the best for you as an individual. Yes the name, location and facilities and teaching are a massive part of it, but if you dont like the feel for the place, there's no point in going as you wont enjoy it. x

Things about yourself like what you do as hobbies, how old you are, why you want to be an actor, why this school, strengths and weaknesses, questions about your monologues and characters. So know your monologues inside out. But just be yourself on a good day :D

Not very good place: a girl had been rejected at the first round there and then almost got Rada at the third round.

I think that each place has different criterias. Although it sounds unfair, a lot of places might not necessarily judge on talent, but on people they have already accepted and whether you would fit into their already accepted class/ year group. Or if you're similar to someone they already have. So a lot is considered for each school, who they think fit and who fits their approach.
