      I was going to write a comment but this guy guy said it best. I have two pair of Georgia Boot Romeo's that I wondered if I would ever resole..or how they'd resole them. I wonder no more!! And I know exactly who I will be sending my shoes toas well.

    Your friend will be satisfied with the repair on his boots. To me they are better than when new.

    I’m surprised there still in one piece. I used to wear Carolina and Georgia loggers. Typically the uppers would be trashed after a year. Not to mention a basic resole at any local shop is about as much as a new pair

    • @AaronG2480
      @AaronG2480  Місяць тому +1

      You’re right, even a basic Resole would cost the same as new pair, I juts worked on them for fun, these are disposable boots 🤷🏻‍♂️
      These guy has more than 20 pairs of boots he’s actually a machinist
      Cheers!

    Gorgeous work as always. I love how your confidence just goes up and up... and forget the haters about the welts... you know what you're doing. Welts can be badly made, of bad materials, and you are just doing what the client wants anyway. Also they only last for what, 2 or 4 resoles depending on the use. Welts also wear out if people are hard enough on them. If you drag your toes on the round, you grind them off as well...
    Please post the making of videos of your two custom boots that you made.

      You’re right, the fact that a pair of boots have a new welt doesn’t mean we will be able to reuse it in the future, it depends on what people use their boots for.
      Thanks!

      @@AaronG2480 I know if I brought you a pair of boots for you to customize or something, I would want new welts even i the boots had perfect looking welts... it would be strange not to... now if I was bringing a pair of boots back to you, I am sure you could resole using your welts several times depending on how bad I had been to my boots.

    Hi Aaron at 7.32 minute what's the black thing you stitch around the uppers? Is it leather or rubber? Is there a purpose for it?

    I’ve been watching all your videos and one question I have is how come you don’t use hot cork as opposed to the cork you have to cut and sand.

    • @AaronG2480
      @AaronG2480  Місяць тому

      @@thomasanthony7842 simply because it’s expensive and it actually crumbles faster than cork sheet .
      Footwear manufacturers use hot cork because it’s easier and faster but not necessarily better.
      A few cobblers use it but not all the time.
      Cheers
