  • We searched for many ways to get into Johor Bahru by public transport and after trying out once, we find that using CW2 bus is one of the best and most convenient ways. Reviews on google about that CW2 service was horrible, but we think its actually okay.
Went in on a Tuesday morning, cleared Singapore departure customs without much hassle and crowd, reboarded the CW buses to get to Malaysia arrival customs & JB Sentral without problems.
On the return trip, we dare not venture out too late for fear of crowd. Got back into Malaysia customs by about 430pm, and managed to hop on the CW bus back to Singapore Woodlands customs. At Woodlands side after clearing arrival customs, we waited for a good 20mins for CW2 bus to bring us back to Queen Street Terminal.
Overall a pleasant experience. There are plenty of videos out there, some clear, some very brief, but overall, its relatively clear cut and easy. Just follow the crowd, read the signs and explore.
The many other options can be confusing, but we recommend CW2 as its a one-way in, and one-way back service without stopping at other destinations. Plus its a 24hour bus service.
Downside, if its too crowded, be prepared for long queues, and standing long durations while waiting for buses. Not advisable if travellers are elderly, or have problems standing for too long hours.
