    Hello Connie! Well....I finally got around to making this herb butter. I found it absolutely wonderful! Of course, the true test is on my elderly mother, an southern gal. I had her taste it. She did. Her first questions was, "What is in it?". I told her. Her next comment was. "Well, it certainly taste like butter! Doesn't it?!?". She was so impressed! Yee haw Connie! Thank you for offering this recipe! If it can past the must, for a long time southern cook, then this is good stuff!

    Hi Connie. I've tried today your vegan butter with the chives I grow in my backyard. Excellent butter!!!! The other half I've decided to add garlic. I'm crazy about garlic. It came out delicious! Thank you very much for sharing so many wonderful things with us. You're a blessed person.

      Oh so happy you liked it Maria :) thank you so much!!! This morning I saw that I got a notification that you posted something about Miyoko , but when I went to look there was nothing there, so I could not reply to you so sorry about that. Somehow I don't see the message anywhere. But I want to say thank you for sharing your comment it is so very welcome :) Have a blessed day Maria

      Someone posted about Miyoko's butter and I thought it wasn't nice. I wrote an answer but then I thought I should rather feel sorry for such a despleasing person and I deleted what I wrote.

      Maria - That someone was me. You mind explaining what was so offensive with my comment? I didn't write anything ugly. I just mentioned the option of Miyoko's butter. It's in the thread of the first comment on this page. Nobody else was offended. Yeah, it's a bit pricey if you can't get it in a store near you but I hardly find it to be offensive. You Tube is for sharing ideas which Connie is doing in her video. If sharing is offensive to you then maybe you shouldn't be on You Tube.

      Love your stuff. Never meant to diss you in any way by sharing info. I thought that was what the comment section is for. I learn so much from people like yourself as well as the comment section under those videos. The vegan community has it's issues but I try not to be one of them. Peace out and vlog on.

    Blessed day Connie, first I must say keep up this splendid job of valuable information on vegan foods. As a vegan i enjoyed all your videos, some if which I've tried, including this one. Secondly, i did try this vegan butter, its my first attempt on making butter, and I must say it was superb, delicious and healthy. It looks like butter, melt like butter, smell like butter and taste like butter. I was not always a vegan and this butter reminded me of regular butter. Today would be 1 week since i made my butter and its all finish. Ready to make another batch. Thanks for this video and manh other videos that you have done. Keep it up and may God continue to bless you, your family and this wonderful UA-cam channel.❤

    Connie, you are a gift to us all! And I need your help: my allergy to all nuts and oily seeds prevents me from using coconut oil for vegan butter. Olive oil might firm up in the frig enough for “butter,” but would it taste right? Avocado and grapeseed oils are safe for me, but would you recommend xanthan gum or agar agar to get to the right texture? Thank you for everything!

    • @conniesrawsomekitchen
      @conniesrawsomekitchen  6 років тому

      Hey Taylor WOW ok hummm. not sure olive oil would be that firm for a butter. even if you add xantham gum. Adding agar would but with a strange texture. WOW you have me stumped I will have to look into this for you

      I will! There's not a version of Earth Balance over here, just your typical margarines and similar type spreads. I'm trying to remember now where I saw soy lecithin. I live in Germany and I think I might have to head over to one of the "Reformhäuse" (the term for health food store over here) to find it... But it's coming! Can't wait!

    • @conniesrawsomekitchen
      @conniesrawsomekitchen  7 років тому +1

    • @evileyelash8094
      @evileyelash8094 7 років тому

      Thank you Connie! I don't mind soy at all :) I've just come back from checking a few places - the vegan supermarket, a couple of organic shops and the "Reformhaus", which was the only place I found it and they only had supplement capsules for about 10 EUR. I live in Germany and they do have American things sometimes, but not always. Things like ice cubes, marshmallows or peanut butter might or might not be found in the foreign foods section :p I think I'm going to check on Amazon :)

    +Connie's RAWsome kitchen - I enjoyed your video but have some difficulty seeing so I didn't catch the recipe at all and it's not posted in the description. :-(also, why did you change the paper exactly? The music was fine, not like so many videos these days, but I would have enjoyed listening to you explaining how you do it. Thanks.

    Connie, I love your videos! I have a question about one ingredient here. What is the Soy Lecithin for? I mean, what does it do for the butter? Thanks!

    • @conniesrawsomekitchen
      @conniesrawsomekitchen  7 років тому +1

      it's a fat it give it that creamier buttery taste and feel :) and it's a natural emollient

      Great, thanks! i Made your roast the other day but think I put too much rice it in. It ended up tasting like denser german knudles. But it was good with the mushroom gravy and red cabbage we made with it. Still learner. Can't wait to try your duck and the scallops.

    Hey Connie!
    I would like to try out your recipe for the butter, but I have a question. Wich milk do you use? And a wish for later, please have the recipe in the comments or something like that so it is easier to read out and for translation. Thank you for the inspiration!
    Great regards, Camilla

      I use almond but you can use any non dairy milk you like :) I prefer almond because it has the best taste for the butter. I will do my best to put it in comments. Sometimes it's time I don't have

      1/2 cup almond milk
      1/4 cup avovado oil
      1 teasp. salt
      1/8 teasp. turmeric
      1 tbsp. soy or sunflower lecithin
      1 teasp. lime juice
      1 cup of melted or soften coldpressed coconut oil

    Can't wait to try this! I appreciate your video's so much. I do have a question. What kind of coconut oil would you recommend that gives the least amount of a coconut taste. Before I went vegan I swear I put real butter on everything. So that's one of my foods that I miss. again Ty for sharing😉

    • @conniesrawsomekitchen
      @conniesrawsomekitchen  7 років тому

      thank you :D OK I do use the coldpress because I find it give it a buttery taste rather than a coconut taste. But if u don't want that use mostly refined coconut oil with a little of the coldpress :D

      You could go on line and try Miyoko's Kitchen creamery style vegan butter made from cashews. It's the closest I've come to a buttery taste in the vegan world.

      Connie's RAWsome kitchen ~ and make sure that the refined one you get is food grade, I have seen some stores mix up the refined coconut oil used for cosmetics in the same shelf, although I personally do not mind the coconut taste, growing up with coconuts, the smell always makes me hungry ;) +pax Christi!+

    • @conniesrawsomekitchen

      just leave it out. what that does is give it that fatty texture more butter like. But if u don't have it leave it out
