When you mentioned that your kids like Nutella in their pancakes and how popular it is in Brazil, I immediately thought of all the crepe stands we saw in Paris and how every single one of them had Nutella available because it's so popular over there as well.

Seriously, the floor was pure white underneath her when this was over. So good, but a wee bit messy.

I've never heard of these crêpes. Very cool (and messy) demonstration. 👍

These look so good. I like how you had the ingredients to the side. My kids will love these.

It's a big deal for gluten free people. Tapioca flour is a staple in many places. Get some and see what you come up with.

Have you ever had the savory Brazilian treat pao de queijo? Totally different, but that you’re using tapioca suggests you might be open to trying them - they are made with cassava flour. Muy delicioso!!!

I like to use tortilla and fill them for eggs or anything in fridge.

I never need butter when i make mine, even thou my frying pan is very sticky, but i guess they might taste better with the butter…

I'm in Texas where there’s a run on grocery stores after the week-long ice mess and power outage, so I took inventory and had tapioca flour and eggs on hand. These turned out well, though the first ones are prettiest. I put a pat of butter per pancake, which got smaller as I made them. Husband is frying eggs to go with them. But there's a lot of leftover tapioca on the skillet. What do you do with it? I tried to recycle it. Dunno if that's why they got more crumbly as I cooked more pancakes.

I don't usually have much leftover in the pan. It does help to wipe the pan between pancakes...you'll get those pretty results each time. I have to say they take practice.

Hi Jocelyn - I want to try to make these but I don't have a nice skillet like that. Do you think these would work on a cast iron skillet?

    • @WoltersWorldEats

I think a well seasoned cast iron pan is as non-stick as ceramic. So it would probably work. I'll have to try that.

Of course! At some point I will make them. My Yiayia made the absolute best and I'm working hard to mimic them.
