We live in a tract home built in the late 1950's, when most families had one car so the streets aren't very wide. This video reminded me of a time, years ago, when I went out to the mailbox at the same time as my neighbor across the street (an old guy who's since passed). Our eyes met just as the street filled with thousands of small white migrating butterflies, they swirled all around us and took just moments to pass by, it felt very magical and we never spoke of it. I've never seen anything like it since, and I understand why some old timer's call them "flutterbys." 😁😁😎😎👍👍
Ausia, you sure light up when there is a garden! You are totally in your element. It was fun to see you so joyful about the beauty that is there. I have to say, I’m amazed at the progress that has been made in the gardens on your property in such a short time. It’s a labor of love, isn’t it? 🌿
Your place will look like that, one day. It takes time, in days to come you will slow down, It is good that Ed and Sue are there to experience the winter days and keep you posted.
I really appreciate the time you spend on your hikes, explaining the different sites. I wouldn’t be able to see such places due to the lack of wheelchair access. Again, thank you for sharing your adventures. I adore nature.
Asia thank you so for the walk 🚶♀️ in the park love the garden the butterfly 🦋 were beautiful we have butterfly 🦋 bushes in north Caroline and butterfly trees 🌳 the butterfly 🦋 ❤️ the them they also multiply both butterfly and the bushes and the trees 🌳 be safe ❤️
I sure enjoy your walking and seeing the plants on your videos. I enjoy the knowledge you have of many of the plants you find on your walks. Thank you for taking us along in your journey. Merry Christmas to you, and Jeff, Moo Moo, and Kellogg. 🎄🎅🏼🤶🏻🥰
Ausia, you should read up on Lady Bird Johnson's beautification programs when you get a chance. Even though I was very young, I remember the wildflowers along the highways that she promoted. Hulu has a video out on her as well.
That’s so pretty…and agree. Sit and take the beauty. With all the things you plant it will soon look like that. Needed to see and enjoy with you. Is old here in Denver 28 degrees!! Have several months to go before we have nice weather again. As I get older I sure don’t e the cold so much.
Loved it! I don’t blame you for wanting to stay at the butterfly/pollinator garden! Just lovely and full of activity! I swear there was also a Swallowtail, that they didn’t show on their butterfly sign. ❤😍🌼🦋🌸🐝 Sorry, I don’t know when in my old age I started abusing the use of emojis! 😂
What an absolutely lovely video! And you, Ausia, have become a master storyteller. Now, about that man’s voice as your navigator. I don’t know why I didn’t think of it before but you should have named it Jeffrey.😂😂❤️TN Nana
WILDFLOWERS! Plant lots of pollinators (ya know ya want 'em) for the butterflies and bees back on your property. Your tomatoes and fruit trees will thank you.
Ausia you said you'd like a garden like that at you property, why couldn't you buy packets of wild flower seeds native to Arizona & just scatter them on your property. Maybe out away from immediate living area, in the wide open space, & during monsoon season to get them established. Packets of seed shouldn't cost that much if it doesn't work. Just a thought!!!
Great idea, and i have already spread some wildflower seeds last season, but nothing has germinated yet 🤔 probably needs a good cold winter for seed stratification.
You gotta check out the pollinator gardens in the spring. It's like a whole 'nother world. 🌼🌻🌺🌹🏵🌸🌷 I tried to close the View Products sign and the products page blew up and completely blocked your video but it kept playing. 😐 Hummingbird moths are awesome. You're so lucky you get those. I love to just sit in nature and commune with it too. Fingers crossed you get your pollinator garden going. It's understandable that it's hard where you're situated but it's worth trying for it. I love that you keep going back to Lady Bird's park. I can't get enough of flowers and butterflies these days myself. I actually like the airplanes too. I love everything out there! Isn't ironic that I ended up bedridden. I appreciate you taking us out and along on your trips in nature and all the other places you go. By the way, I like it when you look right in the camera. I've read that sometimes they say to avoid it, but maybe that's just for actors playing a character. The Queen Butterfly looks like a Monarch. I thought they were Monarchs too. Monarchs do have a lot of look-alikes. I love that blue butterfly board. I've just gotten into learning more about butterflies and flowers lately so this is really fun. If you want to see something astonishing, look up the 'fritillary butterfly pupa'. It's out of this world. Not the dead leaf-looking one, but the pearlescent white one with the orange and black colors on it.
You didn’t realize the Vista Loop Nature trail was an actual trail….so they just put a sign to show the way to nowhere? Did you see a white rabbit go that way! LOL! JK
@3:08 that butterfly is a Black Swallowtail, if they are yellow with black tiger stripes on the front wings, that is a Tiger Swallowtail and there is a white one with same tiger stripes and the back wings have long tails, those are Zebra Swallowtails.

Enjoyed this vlog. Thanks dearly for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it 😊 ❤️
Love the garden. Looks like you got some more ideas, lol. Looking forward to seeing how your pond will do. That should draw some wildlife. 🙂👍
Poison ivy - leaves of three. Let it be.

Hi Ausia! 👋 Such a beautiful area! Ciera and I hope to do some traveling next year.
You and Moo Moo be well, safe travels! 🤗

😊👍
Love the park there very pretty 👍
😊👍
While in Fredericksburg did you see the rare rose bushes of pink and orange blooms???
Nice!
Beautiful pollinators. Can you grow the butterfly bush in your area? I have the kaleidoscope one, attracts a lot of bees and goldenrod is good one.
🙋♀️🌻
What a lovely place! I wouldn’t be able to stay away, either 😊. Wishing you happy holidays and wonderful times with your family and friends.
Thank you! You too!
Arbor with a gate would be beautiful on your property ❤ Ausia
I think so too! 😊❤️
What a magical pollinators garden. Did the tropical three fold smell good? I grew Tall ageratum blue mist annuals but I love the perennial one.
Loved the gardens ❤
Love the Texas Hill Country !
The fencing that you like...in NM we call it latilla or coyote fence
😊👍
Yum...garlic rolls.

the garlic rolls look like garlic knots which really is the same thing just shaped different.
They were definitely delicious 😋

Could you please do a update on your Mr Heater propane? Want to buy a heater but looking for your input please?
Sure 😊👍
Looks like your propane tank has rust. Can that be fixed?
Yes.. usually the external tanks will have some rust 👍
Leafs of 3 let it be
Leafs of 4 eat some more lol
😊👍💕
Have you ever accidentally left Moo Moo behind?
Thankfully no 😳
