Not sure about elsewhere but many of these in Canada only bloom about 1-2 weeks such as the peonies and allium. And dahlias are not perennials. The tubers need to be dug up each fall and can be saved if one has the space indoors to store them.

Oh how I wish some of the perenials you list had long blooming periods! Hydrangeas are shrubs, hostas are not grown for their blooms. Ajuga has a burst of flowers in the spring and a few here and there after that if you're lucky.

@@DecorHomeIdeas Oh no no no. That is NOT the way it works. If other varieties of these flowers are required for bloom all summer, then it should say that in the title. This is false and misleading to anyone that does not know about the growing characteristics of flowers. Also, many flowers shown in the video are not perennial, like dahlia, or require other techniques for continual bloom. No reputable company would want to be associated with this false content.

    • @DecorHomeIdeas

@@gingerhackley8144 Dahlias are officially classified as “tender perennials”. They are perennials in USDA 8 or higher, so In different zones and regions some of these are not coming back each year, but we cannot be so specific about each perennial flower and zone.

These are all beautiful, but many are suited for certain areas only. In the Deep South we have weather too hot for some of these to survive or to perform well. It would be much more helpful to give the zones each it suited for.

I bought various coloured Lupins last year which looked good for a while in the summer. Then came the wind and rains and they soon became just snapped twigs which soon dried out.All that was left was a load of dead plants not a sign of growing again this year so out they came waste of time.On the plus side my crab apple tree which I also bought last year is doing well it's in full bloom as is the Flamingo. Two Laburnums are a bit bare although they do have small leaves but hard to tell how they will go at this stage.
